On-tap @ 22 West Tap & Grill in Bridgewater, NJ.

The last of Kane's three year-round offerings that I am finally getting around to trying (Head High and Overhead being the other two).

Pale gold in color and hazy with a small white head. Served a little too cold, the aroma beings to pop as the beer warms a bit. Classic fruity and spicy Belgian yeast aroma and flavor. Some spices and lemon with light peppery notes to it as well. Medium-light bodied and extremely smooth. Soft in the finish. Incredibly easy to drink.

Kane has been brewing some of, if not, the best beer in NJ since they opened, and Single Fin is no exception. Reminds me more of a Witbier than Belgian Blonde or Pale Ale. Another great local beer.

Growler purchased 7/2/16 at brewery. Poured into Kane Belgian glass.

L: 2F head with good retention, moderate lacing, and a ring. Beer is a hazy pale gold.

S: Sweet malts forward especially Pilsner, Belgian Trappist yeast, maybe some coriander

T: Pilsner malt dominates, some coriander, a touch of citrus (this has some elements of a wit overall), pepper and floral notes on the finish.

F: Light bodied, medium carbonation, good construction and balance. Nice drying that doesn't allow finish to be too sweet.

F: Very strong example of the style.

From 11/28/15 notes. On tap at the brewery.

Pours a clear bright yellow color with one inch of white head and low carbonation evident. Spices, Belgian yeast, pepper, wheat, bready malts, apples, light funk in the taste. Medium body and moderate carbonation.

Overall a nice Belgian pale; not my favorite of the Kane staples but a nice beer.

Had it at Kane's brewery - which I highly recommend if you're in Jersey. Good brew, nice color and aroma but nothing special. Fairly good taste though not quite up to some of the other fine brews from Kane. I think this would probably get a slightly higher rating from me but I think it lost a little because after trying Deep Rooted, Driftline and head high at Kane this one was a little below them but still a fine brew. Kane sets the bar so high. Will I drink it again, sure.

Kane just keeps getting better. They've worked on this one -- its really balanced compared to all of their earlier permutations. The same goes for all of their offerings.
