On draught at the brewery. It pours a cloudy, reddish-orange with a small, ecru-colored head and film of lacing. The smell is malty with notes of pine sprig, lemon, and grapefruit. Its taste leads with slightly sweet malt balanced by piny bitterness and tart lemon and grapefruit. As it warms a bit I notice some red berry. The Chinook hops provide a nice bitter bite. The ale is lite and crisp and the Lager yeast gives it some Lager characteristics. The 5.9% ABV gives it decent substance but it is a highly drinkable ale. Overall, this brew drinks between an American IPA and an American Lager. It is a very nice "experimental" offering. I hope that it proves popular enough that Kane gives it a name an cans it.
