12 oz pour at the tasting room, served in a tulip glass.
Mysterioso #16 pours a pretty clear orange, with some tangerine highlights present. There's barely any white foam topping the beer, but that's a function of the pour more than anything else. The aroma is pretty well split between lightly candied grapefruit and orange peel and a bit of clove. There's a light bit of candied sugar that first greets my palate, before some citrus fruit notes come in. There's plenty of grapefruit, but it's not as one note as some IPAs can get. A moderate bitterness grabs the attention before a clove heavy finish comes into the picture. The body is appropriately dry, but the carbonation is just a little lackluster. This is a solid offering from Kane, though I don't know if I'd ever go for it again over their Head High.
