3/21/21
Sunday deck sampling with wife of port omna alongside the 4 2021 variants. Nice experience.
This was my 2nd favorite after the coconut-caramel.
Aroma: Sweet Bourbon aroma. almost cola. a touch smokey and maybe some cherry,
Taste: cola, coca, earth, wood, late alcohol burn.
FEEL: a little thin and weak in the body department.

From 07/27/13 notes. Had this on nitro-pour at the brewery and absolutely loved it.
a - Pours a deep mahogany brown color with one finger of thick medium tan head and moderate carbonation evident. Looks great, just like Guinness with the nitro-pour.
s - Smells of bourbon, oak, toasted coconuts, milk chocolate, roasted malts, light cream, roasted malts, dark chocolate, and burnt malts. Awesome nose; tons of bourbon coming through, as well as chocolate and coconut. Big fan of this nose.
t - Tastes of bourbon, milk chocolate, vanilla, cream, oak, roasted malts, toasted malts, light coconut, light coffee, burnt malts. Taste is great with a lot of bourbon as well, but also has more vanilla to it than the nose did. Less coconut than the nose. Loving the taste as well.
m - Medium body to it and low carbonation. The body is very smooth and creamy, with no heat whatsoever. Awesome mouthfeel, insanely creamy.
o - Overall I loved this beer; I'm a huge fan of Head High and Overhead, and while they are different styles, I think this might be the best beer Kane has done IMO. I liked ANTEAD, but I felt like the bourbon did not come through much in that stout. This is the opposite, as it has a ton of flavor and is very complex, with tons of bourbon, chocolate, and vanilla throughout. More impressively, they do all this at 6.9% ABV (according to their chalkboard). Having this on nitro-pour is just the icing on the cake as it lends itself very well to this beer. Loved it and hoping they bottle this one, and make it routinely.
