473 mL can from TBS via the Phillips Octobox. Best before Jan 18 2023 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a bright golden yellow colour, with an inch of soapy, foamy white head situated atop for the first couple of minutes. By that point, it has wilted down to a wide collar of creamy suds surrounding a patchy, filmy cap; no lace initially, but those suds leave snaking bands of lace behind as the level drops. Grainy on the nose, with suggestions of cereal sweetness, bread, and perhaps a hint of apple.
It's a quality craft lager - I'm getting bready, slightly doughy pale malt flavours for the most part, as well as a clean graininess throughout the profile; very faint suggestions of sweet apple. Hints of grass and *maybe* lemon zest near the tail end. Light-medium in body, with brisk, prickly carbonation that lends a proper bite to this lager's smooth mouthfeel. I had no trouble whatsoever tossing it back, to the point where I began taking smaller gulps, so as not to run out of beer before I completed my yammering. This yammering, right here.
Final Grade: 3.61, a B grade. Phillips' Tilt made for an easy tipple, which is all I can ask of a basic American pale lager. Not something I'd go out of my way for, but sufficient as a random sampler pack inclusion. In terms of comparable alternatives, Muskoka's Craft Lager is an easily procured one that almost immediately came to mind: Tilt might be a tad bit sweeter, but the similarities are significant enough to make them interchangeable IMO.

473ml can poured into tulip.
Pours a clear straw yellow with two rocky fingers of dirty white head that leaves some sudsy constellations of lace as it recedes.
Smells of grainy pale malt, indistinct pomme sweetness, faint lemon zest, some soft spicy yeast and cut grass.
Tastes of grainy bread, red apple skin, more lemony freshness and mild grassy hops.
Feels light and fizzy. Light bodied with peppy carbonation. Finishes off-sweet and refreshing.
Verdict: Recommended. Pretty tasty and nice after a day's work.
