Yes, with sushi please, perfect food beer. I had this at the tasting room ( a great hang out) and wanted to bring it home. On tap.
A) Pours golden-straw color with a fluffy white head and a bit of lacing.
S) Clove, coriander, lemon, pear, and grassy yeast.
T) Follows the smell with more of a yeast and spice punch, along with lemon peel, pear, but the sweetness is balanced by peppery bitterness.
F) Light to medium-bodied, very crisp with ample carbonation.
O) As good a saison as can be found. Nice wok.

I had this on draught at the brewery. It pours a cloudy, golden-straw color with a fluffy, milk-white head and lacing. The smell is classically Saison: banana, clove, coriander, pear, and a funky yeast. The taste features lots of yeast and spice, along with lemon peel, some sweet fruit (pear) up front, and even a hint of caramel but finishes with a blast of pepper and pleasant bitterness. It's medium-bodied and crisp with lively carbonation, and with a moderate ABV of 6.2% you can drink a couple without feeling heavy. Overall, this is a nice rendition of the classic Saison but with a lot of pepper. It screams for drinking a growler outside on a nice Spring day. Excellent job, Carton!
