(16 oz can, journey began 09/16/25; purchased cold 4-pack at the brewery last week... poured into a 0.5L Becker glass)
L: brilliantly-clear, pale straw gold liquid... foam fell quick, but the glass cleanliness was sadly not to spec...
S: mineral, metal, acidic sourdough ferment, lemon pith... more of a fresh multigrain bread crust dominance as it goes
T: similiar grainy, grass stalk (chit) and green (tea) hoppy tannins found in the other Whip variants... almost a (spicy) horseradish essence that I found in a Czech lager of theirs I had there last week... toasty malt sugars gradually build in the aftertaste... I like my German pils dry and snappy, but the harsh graininess is a touch too much
F: taut body, silky viscosity... hopping leaves a light frictive burn... overall, it rouses the palate, giving a cleaning sensation
O: solid variant, but does not stand out (hop-wise) like some of the others in the family... still, I would buy again (2470)

A: Very pale straw...cornsilk or pale daffodil. Chilled, frosted haze but otherwise quite clear Dense and creamy 1F of white head that lasts fully ~10 min before diminishing to a thin film.
S: Lots of grainy malt upfront, mainly honey sweetness followed by some dried cracker. Med-high levels of floral sweetness...blue borage and honeysuckle. Lesser amounts of raw barley, grass, and pome fruit.
M: Med-light body. Dry and soft finish without too much lasting bitterness or carbonation that slightly reduces the refreshing quality,
T: I'm not greatly versed on the minutiae separating a Helles from a German or Bavarian pils, but this tracks lower in terms of lasting bitterness/crispness. The balance seems to be towards raw dough with a floral sweetness. Spicy hops are in support from beginning to finish, so it the honey maltiness is well-rounded; but, the overall impression is more of soft, malty finish with background grassy/spice bitterness.
