Really pleased by this collaboration. A nice pale lager that I found pretty big on the flavor as well. Really digging the Nelson and Galaxy in this one- they both work quite well together. Exceedingly drinkable. Very well done.

Big tropical nose and tropical forward taste. Pineapple and Guava are the key flavors. The Galaxy hops shine while the Nelson play an assistant role. Nice clean and crisp body as well.

Served from the tap in a shaker pint glass at the Tighthead taproom.

This year's ReplicAle consists of Maris Otter malts, Galaxy and Nelson Sauvin hops, San Francisco lager yeast, and water from Lake Michigan, creating a semblance of an international agglomeration of a beer. It pours a mostly clear golden straw topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises mild grapefruit zest, mixed greens, light candied orange peel, cracked wheat, and a spritzing of white wine grapes. The taste brings in more of the same, the biscuit-y malts trying to balance the fruity hops without full success, leading to an added note of passion fruit (verging on guava, if you ask me). The body is a rather light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fairly dry finish. Overall, a solid pale lager, something I wouldn't mind seeing on tap here more in the future.
