American Brown Ale pours a cloudy, dark brown, with a small but long-lasting tan head. The aroma has notes of sweet and dark cereal. The flavor is creamy, sweeter, dark velvety, maybe just a hint of hazelnut. Good feel. Overall, a fantastic no-frills brown ale.

Pours a deep brown with hints of ruby, frothy 3" head that leaves excellent lacing. Nose is baking chocolate, dark roasted malt, dark fruit, cocoa powder. Taste is dark chocolate, heavy roast, very faint touch of sweetness. Mouthfeel is full, though not too rich. Overall, an excellent brown ale.

Served on tap into a 16 oz (473 ml) conical pint glass at Growlers Beer Bistro in Tuckahoe, NY.
A: Pours a very, very dark brown color with mahogany highlights, a one finger, tan head, more than rim retention, and rings of lacing.
S: Aromas of sweetened coffee, birch/sarsaparilla, and toffee.
T: Semisweet. Flavor is a melange of the aromas with moderate and balancing bitterness offsetting some of the sweetness.
M: Light to medium bodied with no more than moderate carbonation. Very drinkable.
O: A very tasty Brown Ale. Very, very easy drinking.

Fantastic - dep black-brown beer in the glass, not-too sweet, hint of char on the roasted malts, earthy and deep, wonderful balance between bitterness and warm brown malty roast...

Tall can, I can find no canning date kind of info...I do appreciate that they put some food pairing info on the label.
Typical looking dark brown pour, moderate medium khaki cap and leaving some spotty bits and strands of lacing.
Dark malts and some nuttiness on the nose.
On the palate its more dark malts....some vanilla, and light maple...nothing overly amazing going on here, just a slightly better then decent take on the style.

A: Pours an opaque yet still clear dark cola brown with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation/nitrogenation rising quickly along the edges of the glass and faint chestnut brown + ruby red colored highlights. The beer has a two finger dense creamy foamy light tan head that slowly reduces to a large patch of thick film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of roasted, toasted, chocolate, and bready malts with light amount of nutty + charred malts and light amounts of caramel sweetness. Light aromas of earthy hops.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of roasted, toasted, chocolate, and bready malts with light amount of nutty + charred malts and light amounts of caramel sweetness. That is followed by light flavors of earthy hops. There is a light to moderate amount of roasty bitterness in the finish which lingers for a short amount of time.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth and creamy (likely due to being served on nitro).
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a really pleasantly smooth creamy mouthfeel when served on nitro. Enjoyable.
