Collaboration with Ithaca Beer Co.
A play on the familiar phrase, “Word is bond,” Wort was brewed in early April at Good Natures Brewing in Hamilton, NY. Talented brewers from both breweries assembled to brew a special saison style ale that showcased New York grown ingredients. Wort features only New York grown pilsner, spelt and rye malts, plus New York grown Cascade hops. Wort was fermented with a farmhouse yeast strain in addition to B and L strains of wild yeast, brettanomyces. Wort is a tart and earthy 6.3% alcohol by volume ale with a crisp finish.
