Combining the refreshing qualities of Broadhead Light with a tangy lime twist. This brilliant pale straw lager pours with a lasting foam, leaving behind a beautiful lacing.
An immediate burst of lime zest and freshly squeezed lime juice in the aroma, complemented by crackery malts and hints of sweet corn. Each sip delivers a delightful pop of lime zest and candied lime, perfectly balanced with sweet cereal grains. It's like enjoying lime-flavored tortilla chips in liquid form.
With a medium-light body, lively carbonation, and a crisp, clean finish, this Mexican Lager with Lime will leave you feeling refreshed.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Mar 6 2026 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a crystal clear pale golden colour, briefly graced with half an inch of soapy, bubbly white head that quickly fizzles. A minute or so later, I'm left with a thin collar and a fractal pattern of film on the surface; no lace to speak of. It smells mostly of white tortilla chips and grainy malts, with a rather faint hint of lime zest.
The flavour profile is relatively clean, consisting of grains, corn chips and white tortilla, with a decent spritz of lime zest tossed in for good measure. Light lime aftertaste that soon turns dry. Light in body, with lively carbonation and very tiny bubbles; very crisp and refreshing. Bloat is a potential concern, but I think I could drink a few of these in a row, given the right situation.
Final Grade: 3.48, a serviceable B-. Broadhead's Mexican Lager with Lime is pretty self-explanatory. Sure, it's boring, but I've had my fair share of lime lagers and this is probably better than most of them. It's certainly better than Bud Light Lime - not that I consider that to be particularly high praise, but it's true. It's not a beer I'll ever be drinking on a daily basis, but if someone asks me to recommend a decent Ontario lime lager, this would be near the top of the list.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a Teku glass. From the Huron Church Rd. LCBO in nearby Windsor. Date stamp illegible. My 5th beer from the Orleans, Ontario brewery, and 1st for 2026. Silently enjoyed by Gracie the cat, with love...
