Yellow. Decent white head. Good retention and spotty lace
Smells like corn and pilsner malt
Sweet corn flavor.
Light bodied with appropriate carbonation for a quencher.
A decent enough easy drinker. Good for what it is.

12oz can stamped 09/13/20 B1034 poured into a tall pilsner glass at fridge temp 4% ABV. The beer pours bright pale straw yellow with a hint of chill haze and nearly white head. The head recedes to a thin ring and leaves a little lacing. The aroma is bready & yeasty. The taste is barely tangy, semisweet pils malt with moderate bitterness and some vegetable oil aftertaste. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, ok. The diacetyl level is too high for me to really enjoy this beer.

I got this because I wanted something light and different and because I haven't seen much Sweetwater since I moved north from North Carolina. Looks good. but kind of grainy in the nose. The taste is cleaner, with more of a sweet biscuit note along with noble hops. Mellow and easy to drink once you get past that smell.

I am CANtinuing to clear out the backlog here at Chez Woody & as I do so, I am given the opportunity to CANduct numerous brewery horizontals. The latest, in support of The CANQuest (tm) is Sweetwater, sweetheart.
From the CAN: "For Those Who Show Us the Way"; "11% of Profits Support Guides"; "Guide Beer A Lager"; "The Hooch. Growing up on its shores, we thought we knew every striper and trout by name. Then, one day, we saw a guide working a honey hole we unknowingly passed every day. Cheers to the guides who open our eyes."
I Crack!ed open the vent & beCAN a slow, gentle C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass. This resulted in the formation of two-plus fingers of fizzy, foamy, rocky, bone-white head with decent retention. Color was Pale-Straw (SRM = 1 - 2) with NE-quality clarity. Nose had a pleasant grassy Noble hoppiness to acCANpony a malty breadiness. Mouthfeel was a bit thin, but for a Lager, it was pretty much on par. The taste was light, innocuous, unobtrusive & just right for the style. It had a light breadiness and a light grassiness, making it entirely crushable. Finish was semi-dry & highly refreshing. Drinking this on a hot, hazy, humid late-Spring afternoon was the way to go! Mmm. YMMV.

Not my favorite offering out of the latest variety-12...
In fact, it is quite possibly my most least favorite from this brewer, ever. The look is also-ran, the smell is a weird wheaty scent that reminds me of something being musty with a mouthfeel that is mostly crisp and lightly carbonated. Taste-wise, I found it to be lightly sweet, the wheat certainly is forward on this, and very light on bitterness - definitely something that is sessionable, if it weren't for the weird smell. Not the worst thing I've ever had, but not one of those from SweetWater I will be on the lookout moving forward.

This beer is terrific for the style. So crisp. Perfect on a hot and sunny day. I can't stop drinking them.
