nice basic ripper here, best when its ice cold, right from the can, we enjoyed a round as a post golf beer and it hit, the first thing i have had from these guys in quite some time! the can is a little different now than what is pictured here, america colors. the beer is relatively clean, does taste just a little bit cheap and adjuncty as it warms, but it stays crisp, and its not without some back end hops adding a little snap, so all up a real approachable yellow beer that has just a bit more character overall than many of its peers, makes sense from these guys. its not generic either which is cool, a little up front sweetness, grain derived, and the lager yeast isnt totally neutral which makes this a bit more flavorful than i think is common, faintly metallic, but also notes of white bread, corn tortilla, and proofing pizza dough, all of which are welcome to me in a beer like this. some minerality at its core, a grassy note to the hops, out of the way, but flashing more at the end. huge bubbles of carbonation define this too, thirst quenching for sure, and versatile around the lunch table, a pulled pork sandwich, a salmon club, and a french dip all drew favorable remarks from my group as partners for this. nothing exotic, but its good and it has personality.

Poured into a grip shaped goblet: color is straw, head is brighter white, head dissipates to thin top, no lacing.
Smell is thin barley malt, backed by rice, some grassy hops.
Taste is thin barley malt with moderate rice, very light hops.
Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, low/moderate sweetness, low bitterness.
Overall a thin american lager with a slightly bitter feel.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden yellow color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy lacing on the glass. It smelled of biscuity malt, caramel and floral notes. Sweet caramel and toffee taste with a mild bitterness.

Decent lager from a good brewer...
This lager had a very nice look to it, not your run-of-the-mill straw coloring as it had a hint of orange to it. The smell was more wheaty and bready than I prefer, but the mouthfeel was light and crisp. Good solid taste - here the bready taste was appealing and overall I enjoyed it.
