A very pleasant ale.
I suppose we can call it American Blonde, but Boon Doggle comes from a quintessential English brewer... making this an odd category to stick it in.
But it Looks a true blonde, but without any foam it seems a bit average. Smells are better as I know I'm getting mostly malt being worked into fruit. Tastes, well... I get that very similar mineral-mouth that I just got from Marston's Pedigree.
So I go on their website and it turns out they are owned by Marston's and, Google says, Ringwood's office is 1 minute walk to Marston's traditional brewery at Burton-on-Trent. So, all this starts to make sense. And Ringwood's history is distinguished also as its founder kept it for 30 years and won lots of CAMRA awards before selling to Marston who, essentially, is a brand manager for beer and pubs.

20oz cask draw into a pint glass shows a bright, clear amber and floats a quickly disippating soapy white head, leaving spotted lacing.
Aroma is a very subtle flowery hop bitterness.
Flavors match with malt balance.
Mouthfeel is light, leaning thin, with a clean finish
Overall a basic blonde.

A: poured from a 500 mL bottle into a pint glass, blond colored with a short white head that dissipates leaving some lacing, clear
S: light notes of fruit, yeast, pale malt, English hops
T: sweet and malty, fruit flavors present but very slight, strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, light earthy hop finish, bright and fresh
M: thin with low carbonation
O: fruit flavors were quite the surprise, good British summer beer

From a 500ml bottle.
L: Clear, golden colour with a fast disappearing, loose head.
S: Light, floral hops.
T: As nose with some citrus in the mix. A little bitterness but not much.
F: Almost watery. Just enough 'chew' to save it.
O: Light, summery, easy-going, easy drinking blonde ale. Not enough to make it stand out though.
