One quart growler served in a pilsner glass, reviewed live:
A - Pours a murky semi-transparent orange/golden color with a half finger of thin white head. Retention is awful. Muted and dull. Standard fare.
S - Bready yeast, light citrus and farmhouse funk, honey, crystal malts, and mild floral hops. Mild and seemingly well balanced. Inviting, if a bit boring.
T - Yeast dominant as it should be, though it's a little flat and dull. Tart esters and countered subtly by light fruit and sweet malt. Very simple, especially for the style, though it's refreshing and easy drinking. No alcohol comes through at all.
M - Medium bodied, thick, smooth and wet.
D - It's very drinkable given the relatively high abv, though it's not remarkable or complex. Not bad (not great, either).

Beer-to-go quart-size growler served into a New Belgium pilsner glass in me friend Brendan's gaff in Fort Collins, Colorado. Reviewed live. I bought this two days ago, and I generally distrust growlers, but I'm hoping it's still pretty good. 45 IBUs. 7.4%. Cost was $12.00 - pretty ridiculous. Acquired at the brewery (what an awful location!).
Served refrigerator cold and allowed to warm over the course of consumption. Side-poured with excessive vigor as carbonation issues are anticipated.
Kind of difficult to pour out of their quart glass.
A: Pours a quarter finger head of beige colour, slight cream, okay thickness, and poor retention. Colour is a nontransparent hazy copper. Somewhat dull. No yeast particles are visible. No bubble show.
Sm: I've got an awful cold and my nose is broken anyway, so I get very little off the aroma. Clean malts are all that come through.
T: Nice yeasty flavour over top clean malts and barley, with very light pale hopping that doesn't amount to much. A nicely balanced but simple beer all around. I do like it, but there's very little happening here. Nice quite crisp enough. The yeast is nice, particularly on the climax. Very little subtlety.
Mf: Smooth and wet, with some light inadequate crispness. Somewhat lightly undercarbonated - likely due to it being served from a growler. Decent thickness. A bit too heavy on the palate for a saison.
Dr: Drinkable and enjoyable. Feels fresh even from the growler, but lacks true depth and complexity. It's a nice little saison. I wouldn't get it again though. A decent offering from Lone Tree Brewing.
