Orange hued cloudy amber pour, 1/2 finger of soapy white head, spotty lacing in the glassware.

Aroma is bright and hop forward, orange overtones are most apparent, malt is in the basement on this one.

The sample I had at the brewery struck me as a touch sharp and acidic, however the 1 liter swing top growler I consumed 2 weeks later seemed to have a great deal more balance and depth to it. The flavors are bold and hoppy, again taking on the orange peel tones and a slightly piney character as well. Really nicely balanced and the flavor/aroma improved upon warming. Not so much the bubble gum, banana, or clove character in the taste that is often associated with wheat beers, Rang Duce is a hop bomb all the way with a hefty amount of IBUs without sending the palate into shock.

Mouthfeel on the lighter side of medium, very crisp and dry.

Another solid effort from Matty O, who has a true understanding of how hoppy beers should look, smell and taste. Excellent hoppy wheat that I look forward to in the Fiddlehead rotation. Highly recommended.
