On tap at the brewery. Half pour.
Pours a clear golden in color with hints of copper and a small frothy head on top with decent retention and a fair bit of lacing as you drink. Carbonation looks average to a tick below.
Aroma is pretty classic German lager; bready with lemon and grass hops. Maybe a hint of creamed corn.
Taste follows the aroma. Biscuity maltiness up front with lemon and grass quickly following. A hint of white pepper. Slightly earthy, a touch tart. Pretty balanced but finishes with a lingering lemon bitterness on the tongue.
On the lighter side of medium bodied, creamy but some zestiness on the swallow. Drinks smooth and finishes crisp and dry. Classic mouthfeel.
Solid Pilsner. Nothing amazing but just a quality offering. Refreshing on this hot day. Prost!

first rate pils here, dimpled mug and all at the brewery, german style, wrongly listed here as an american lager. not as clear as some of these, almost in that keller range, but still light yellow, and holding a frothing inch of white head, looks very excited, and it smells as fresh as can be, biscuity european malt, noble hops for sure, grassy and spicy both, also fresh, herbal, clean, and just a bit bitter, careful water chemistry is also evident right away, and this seems to have a pretty high degree of authenticity overall, bready and rustic but also dialed in, eager to sip. lovely grain profile at the core of this, faintly sweet through the first half, drier later, crackery and classic, right on. the hops start kind of patient but get relatively robust, grassy and lively, slightly floral, and with the right amount of bitterness for this to be crisp, noble and proper, even kind of fancy overall, which i think elevates this. i taste more from the lager yeast than i can smell, and it comes out a little more as this warms a bit, old worldy, mineral forward, also kind of bready. sudsy and churned up mouthfeel, almost creamy but still refreshing, the right amount of refined without it being too too clean, tons of personality in this, an intentional and kind of timeless approach, very drinkable, very good, wished we had time to stay here for more, this is going to sell like hot cakes if they let it out into the wild...
