Bottle # 1686. Bottled on 10/27/14. 6.9% ABV per the label.
Pours a murky honey gold with a foamy off-white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of grain, Brett, funk, plastic, white wine, and wood aromas. Taste is much the same with Brett, funk, white wine, wood, and plastic flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of Brett bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with definite Brett and white wine characteristics, but there is a plastic quality in both the smell and taste that slightly diminishes the drinkability for me.
Serving type: bottle.
