Lots of curiosity piqued with this ale.
First, Brazilian beers make it rarely to the Midwest and I pick this up as a novelty at Binny's (admittedly, has 2000+ beers.)
Second, the bottle has a award-ribbon label that I initially find improbable: " RateBeer Best 2014."
Third, I taste a totally interesting saison. How did an ale this good come out of a country with marginal crafters?
This Looks, Smells, Tastes and Feels like a saison I want to have again. Without picking apart each of those qualities, I must say that this is a surprisingly well integrated ale. It seems like a whole. It seems like a brewer in Brazil knows what brewers in southern Belgium have been doing for a few centuries. As the test, this Saison even made an average veggie burger taste good. Go figure. Go get this if you can find it.

Aroma is strong spices and a very unique/funky/slight heat fruit. The flavor is funky fruit, spices, malts, light tartness in the middle and a mix of slight sweetness and mild heat in the finish.

Slow gusher. The gabiroba adds an almost smoky light-rauchbier feel to it with some bell pepper-like spice as well. A pretty nice farmhouse besides as well, with a good yeast presence and a decent amount of fruity and spicy flavors. A bit intense with the carbonation/foam but not bad, quite easy-drinking for the ABV. Not quite as standout as their Sour Me Not series has been, but a unique saison with a good amount of complexity.
