At the new (to me) Mntonka tap room, served in a teku, this is surprisingly good...far and away the best offering I’ve had from this brewery. Dull thick crimson, no head. Nose is bright mashed up raspberries with a little dull oak. Taste follows the nose, but more layers, including some tobacco, some generally vegetal green leaf notes, but the berries are dominant ...a few layers, here. Feel is a little thick (but that’s okay, because thick berry!) and a little buttery (which is less than ideal) but also has a little hoppy tingly edge, which is great. Very enjoyable.

L: reddish straw gold under a 1/2" white cap that quickly dissipates
S: has a tart raspberry smell with a hint of tobacco, lemon and citrus and some wet wool
T: The first sip suggests a fresh baked croissant slathered with tart raspberries. The tartness is at fresh squeezed lemonade levels. There is a hint of butter, yeasty spice, low levels of alcohol, traces of vegetable, mild funk, and some drying oak tannins as well as mild funk.
F: The body is light and the carbonation is medium with a touch of prickle.
O: This elegant, flavorful, raspberry forward drink is very refreshing.
