Taster flight at Stone Arch. Nothing fancy here, just a solid brown, hits all the right marks. Toasted malts, nutty.. Clear brown body with a thin layer of off-white foam.

12 oz can into a Becher glass.
L: Pours dark tea brown and is slightly lighter in color at the base, a 2" soapy light tan head, OK retention, light fine carbo bubbles, head recedes to thick creamy skin, light random broken lacing.
S: Ginger bread, caramelized malts, spicy, dark over ripe fruits, toasted grains.
T: Nutty caramelized malts, leafy notes, toasted cereal grains, a hint of brown bread, very light yeast, a touch of molasses, very light brown sugar, has a fruit bread halo. Balanced sweet & bitter.
F: Lightly fizzy medium-light bodied feel with a smooth center and a smooth, Lightly creamy medium-length finish.
O: Very tasty and easy drinking with a gently sweet aftertaste. Lightly fruity and indeed leafy and is well balanced overall. It is very good in its style.

On nitro. Very smooth and a wonderful malty body. Excellent example of the style.

Leaf Raker pours a darker brown, with a small, but long lasting head. Aroma is rich, sweet, nut notes, sugary, malty, and a hint of smoke. Flavor is weak, and watery feel, but sweet, sugary, a hint of burnt, and nuts. Flat. Overall, very easy to drink, very light in flavor, but nice flavors.

Poured into a nonic.
Pours fairly dark brown but appears to be crystal clear. Decent head. Retains well. Excellent lacing.
Aromas are somewhat muted but decent. Caramel malts and grassy hops are pretty well balanced.
Caramel malt sweetness on the tip of the tongue gives way to some interesting vanilla, cream, and light chocolate flavors in midstream. The finish delivers some nice grassy and earthy hops, but also some metallic flavor.
A very nice mouthfeel for the style. Smooth and creamy, it has a long but fairly drying finish.
But for the somewhat "off" metallic note on the finish, this would be pretty darn solid. As-is, it's a decent representation.

I was REALLY excited about this one for some reason, and its almost a great example of a brown ale, but the thing that REALLY KILLS it for me its its rather harsh METALLIC after taste! I CANnot atribute it to being in a CAN, since i love drinking canned beer- i am a “CANvocate” and am know to say quite often “Can if you can”. I really wish i knew why certain beer had this undesirable quality, i have expirenced it in bottled beer as well, this would have recieved a solid 4.5 to 4.75 if it wasnt for that metallic after taste!

Favorite beer I've had so far from the local Brewery. Taste is similar to Guinness.

Tons of carbonation upon popping, also forming tons of head. Perhaps this one was put off a bit too long in my basement. Enjoy by 12/9/16. It's got a dark brown color and the head is beige colored.
Delicious aromas of chocolate, hazelnut, maple, and caramel with some slightly roasted malts.
Flavors are surprisingly alcohol forward...very hot and spicy feeling. It could be due to slight overaging. Behind that, some caramel and toffee notes with hints of hazelnut and chocolate. No sour nasty brown ale flavors here. Very nice to have that.
The feel is very carbonated, prickly, spicy, and semi-dry.
Overall, this beer is a knockout. I can sense it even though I'm getting some extra activity via carbonation and alcohol. The flavors are there and it's right on key. Will return.
