22 ounce bottle into a tulip glass, batch #696.
Pours a bright, light yellow. Two finger head with clingy foam remaining. Smells of yeast, earthy, herbal hops, some light malts and black pepper. Hint of the grapes, a bit more as it warms. Taste continues the yeast and hops, also a bit of funk. More grapes than the nose. Well carbonated, good aftertaste- I found it very refreshing.
This is a good saison and I really liked the Hallertau hops. Very enjoyable and worth trying.

Pale gold with a chunky head of white foam. Bright clarity, some rising carb trails visible.
Aroma is very phenolic, clove and pepper, not really fruity.
Tastes like popcorn kernels, tart undetermined fruit, white pepper, light clean maltiness in the end. Very dry and attenuated. Creamy with an astringent bitterness, light to medium bodied. Overall it's ok, but typifies spice-heavy american saisons that i'm not really big on.

22 oz. bottle, Batch #696. Another new saison creation to me from the masters at Pipeworks, this one a 'saison with Hallertau Blanc hops and Sauvignon Blanc grape juice" per the label.
Poured into a clear balloon snifter.
A - It pours a nice golden body with about two fingers of soft foamy white head. Good fluffy white lacing. Looks nice.
S - A pleasant aroma: lightly musty, fruity, creamy. The sauvignon blanc grape juice is very apparent. Fruity herbal hopping. Saison yeast. Some slight spiciness?
T - Taste is the same: very fruity, juicy, & creamy. Fruity / floral hopping and the sauvignon blanc grape juice are both very apparent players. Grapey, but not what I would describe as vinous or wine-like in any way really.
M - The feel is smooth, creamy, & juicy. Light bodied and easy drinking, with a moderate 7.00% abv, on the side of things for Pipeworks.
Overall, another excellent fruit forward saison from Pipeworks, I definitely look forward to trying many more.
