HAD MANY BEERS FROM THIS BREWERY AFTER AWHILE THEY START TASTING ALIKE - THIS ONE WAS DIFFERENT . THE COMBINATION OF COFFEE, HONEY AND LACTOSE GIVES IT A SMOOTH CREAMY TASTE - THIS COLABORATION BETWEEN THEM AND 3 FLOYDS, 18 TH ST, HALF ACREMETAL MONKEY ANDDARK MATTER COFEEE WAS DONE RIGHT

This brew reminds me of a blend of ales I've had recently. It's like a middle ground b/w Sculpin habanero IPA and a few craft blonde coffee ales.
It looks really nice - dark gold slightly hazed body and has a luscious rocky and foamy white head. Pronounced aroma of pungent but light roasted coffee, citrus hop character, and a hint of some honey/lactose sweetness. Taste is a slight clashing act of piney/grapefruity hop bitterness quickly followed by big coffee roast notes; finishes with a slight sweetness and biscuitiness that compliments the lingering bright and constant coffee flavor. The mouthfeel is intense with medium to high carbonation, and lots of activity between the hop bitterness, coffee bean acids, and the sweetness from the lactose and malt profile. This makes for a really active prickly sensation from the medium viscosity body into a pleasant smooth finish.

Now this was fun! Extra points for thinking outside the box. The pure has a honey tone to it, which really honey and the biscuit like flavors serve as the backbone for this beer. The hops and coffee wash upon the palate as partners of deliciousness. The smell actually gives off coffee the most, followed by some hops. Overall challenges the idea of what a DIPA is, and I love it

22oz bottle served in a tulip. I don't see a date on the bottle. I think it was given to me by @mr-jj.
Pours a clear honey color with a medium head and lots of carbonation. Smell is coffee, and I don't get much else. It does smell like a mild, sweetened coffee, I suppose.
Taste is more interesting -- definite coffee, but not too strong. With the sweetness it comes across almost caramelly -- in fact, it reminds me of the godawfully sweet caramel macchiato I once had at a Barstucks. But not godawfully sweet. Honey comes across if I care to separate it in my mind from the rest of the sweetness. Hops are in there, too, more of a floral character than anything else. Although, on following sips, an interesting coffee/hops bitterness duet comes out.
Mouthfeel is smooth and light. Overall, it's good, and interesting, but smells boring.

22 ounce bottle into a tulip snifter. Had 3/14/18.
Pours a lightly hazy darker gold, with a one inch foamy head and a fair amount of foamy lacing. Smells tropical- pineapple, mango, some grapefruit, light malt, pine, some coffee- more as it warms, lactose. A little bit of a creamy aroma. The taste is also tropical: mango, pineapple, then pine, malt, some coffee, light honey. Light hop bitterness throughout. Smooth, a solid medium body, a little creamy, well carbonated.
Great aroma, a good hop/malt balance. The coffee is good, but maybe too subtle in the flavor. Very good overall, worth a purchase.

Interesting collaboration from a number of local breweries. Look is cloudy orange gold, not a lot of head or lacing, has a bunch of floaties. Smell is lightly hoppy with plenty of sweet honey and coffee. Taste is a balance of hops, coffee, and honey. Feel is very crisp and clean for a beer with coffee, easy sipper. No complaints about this one. Nice when people work together.

Dark gold to amber in color, extremely clear. One finger of off white foam that recedes pretty quickly to a ring around the edge of the glass and think layer across the top. Little to no lacing. The aroma works really nicely. A blend of tropical fruit, grass, dank, candy sweetness, and floral coffee. The taste is similar, the hops come through the strongest, with tropical fruit and dank notes. The coffee is definitely there, providing a light, floral coffee tone. The sweetness from the lactose hits on the back end. Medium body, low-moderate carbonation, and a balanced finish. I was worried that this sounded like too many cooks in the kitchen and too many ingredients...but it actually comes together really well. A tasty brew.
