Looks like darker carbonated fruit punch with foamy head and lacing. Smell is sweet berry and mild hops, stronger than the taste. Definite tart berry with a bit of creamy sweetness underneath. Almost more like a carbonated fruity soda than a beer. Like a lot of Pipeworks beers, different.

Thanks, Matt!*
Plum colored body and cloudy. A nice, dense one and a half finger head with a purple tinge to it.
The aroma is a lovely combination of fruit from the black raspberries and pine from the hops. Very delicate, very balanced.
The taste, at its base, is a typical Pipeworks. Light malts, bigger hops. There is a dankness in the taste that doesn't come through in the aroma. The black raspberries mingle nicely with the hops and the lactose softens the sharper edges of the hops and fruit.
Soft, pillowy mouth feel. Light body and medium carbonation.
*not really.

L: murky beet red color. About a finger of head with moderate lacing.
S: tartness from the black raspberry is upfront with slight sweetness from lactose. Also a presence of malt on the nose.
T: the tartness is upfront with the lactose accompanying the finish. The lactose balances out the tartness from the black raspberry. If it weren’t for the lactose, I bet this would be super tart.
F: medium in body and weight. Somewhat soft and full feel. Practically no carbonation.
O: a novelty beer that I’m grateful to have tried. It’s different, and for that I respect it. Cheers!

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on September 5, 2018. The tart raspberry flavor tends to overwhelm the palate. Still a decent fruited pale ale.

16 oz. 8/24/18 Thanks Andy!
Appearance is cloudy purple to ruby red body. Completely hazed. Off white purplish creamy head with some larger bubbles. Aroma hits me like a NE style ipa with more intense resiny citrus character that comes off as hot. I get this “hotness” in a lot of pipeworks ipas. Tropical, fresh green hop smell, sweetness. Taste follows with a slight tart bite from the black raspberries which cuts through the malt and lactose sweetness along with the brief hotness of the tropical and medium-slightly bitter hops. Medium to thin mouthfeel. Fairly creamy. Not as smooth and creamy as expected for a milkshake pa. Also a bit more bitterness and hop oil character than other milkshake style brews.

16oz can, date stamped 8/24/18. Foamy light pink head caps an opaque magenta colored ale. Aroma is sweet with raspberry, cream, and a bit of tropical fruit. Tart and sweet flavors with tropical passion fruit, citrus, and mango taking a backseat to blackberry, raspberry, and lactose. Fuller body, moderate carbonation, finishes tart, semi-bitter, and dry. I'm big on raspberries, but this was just ok. Glad I only got one can.

Canned 8/24/18; drank 9/6/18 @ the Yarchives.
Cloudy red/orange/purple appearance.
A rough pour yielded a huge white head with pink hues; frothy lace.
Sweet raspberry & mild cream notes in the nose.
Creamy medium mouthfeel.
Faintly tart raspberry & smooth cream flavors up front; mild hop bite on the finish.
Pretty mild, overall, but this would be nice on a hot summer afternoon.
