Tasted in a Rastal Teku from a 22 fl oz bottle on December 26, 2018. Sour ale brewed with black currants. The sour component is more prominent than the fruit.

Appearance - The beer poured a beautiful magenta color with a bright white head.

Smell - Wheat came to the front in the nose with a light fruity presence. In the nose, there currant was very light.

Taste - The fact that wheat dominated the fruit was a bad sign. While I appreciate the currant is a hard fruit to capture in a beer, the profile reminded me of the fruited cans of Diet Rite (Do they still make those?) There was something very diet cola about this beer. The odd profile lingers. I could not finish it.

Mouthfeel - The carbonation made me think of a Berliner. I am not sure that was the intend.

Overall - Pipeworks is allowed to lay an egg once in a while since they make so many good beers.
