Pours a clear straw color. 2/3 inch head of a white color. Good retention and decent lacing. Smells of yeast, bacterial funk, floral, grass, citrus hops, hint of spicy hops, hint of pine, and slight pale malt. Fits the style of a Saison / Farmhouse Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with a high carbonation level and decent dryness. Tastes of yeast, floral, earthy malt, slight alcohol, hint piney hops, bacterial funk, hint of pale malt, and a hint of citrus hops. Overall, good appearance, aroma, and body, but too carbonated and the blend is too earthy.

Bottle from Kelly and Paul, thanks!
Slightly hazy light golden color with a monstrous tightly bubbled white head that lasts forever. Pear melon pine and earth with a light bread and funk on the nose. Lightly tart with bits of fruit and earth in the flavor. Fairly dry finish. Pretty tasty beverage.

Poured from a 375ml bottle a hazy dark yellow with a 1-finger thick white head which leaves some spotty lace. The aroma is faint with some floral, yeast, and Brett funk. Flavors are grassy, herbal, lemony, and a faint metallic note. Dry, yeasty finish. On warming get more tropical fruit and a faint cedar-like quality.

the packaging on this beer was so pretty, and i really wanted to like it, but the beer was a little sloppy and did not at all live up to my somewhat high expectations. its a cool idea, but the execution really wasnt there for me, at least to warrant the price. hazy flattish looking red to copper brew, hardly any head at all, a bad sign to start, murky too. the nose is fine, good even, with a sweetish wheaty and crystal grain base and a little funk. the brett seems young, not quite done in terms of fermenting this all the way down to being done, and the flavor agrees. notes of red grapes, toffee, bread crusts, sweat, and porridge. cereals and grainy, i like that part of it, but the brett just hasnt been handled right i dont think, either too low of a pitch, not enough time, too cool, something, but this feels about half finished. potential is there, but the patience apparently wasnt. almost no carbonation, and some leftover sugar that really doesnt work in the style. i think this could become something delicious, but its not there yet. a disappointing first beer from these guys, purchased at city beer in san francisco a few weeks ago. should have given it more time.

375 ml bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours slightly hazy golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Dense foamy lacing clings around the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lightly tart lemon, lime, apricot, orange, pear, apple, white grape, pepper, hay, straw, floral, honey, cracker, bread, light musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, citrus/tropical hops, and moderate bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lightly tart lemon, lime, apricot, orange, pear, apple, white grape, pepper, hay, straw, floral, honey, cracker, bread, light musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Moderate amount of yeast spiciness and light fruity/acidic tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, lime, apricot, orange, pear, apple, white grape, pepper, hay, straw, honey, cracker, bread, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, citrus/tropical hops, and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from carbonation and yeast spiciness. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, creamy/bready/sticky, and slightly acidic balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice Brett saison. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, citrus/tropical hops, and moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Fluffy head. Straw color, and quite murky. Floral and stonefruity, pleasant flavors. Bright and very enjoyable, refreshing. Dry but not quite sour. And no noticeable (off-putting) brettiness/horseblanket notes. Nice!
