22oz bomber purchased at Nectar-Kendall Yards in Spokane, WA, some months ago. No freshness date. I thought it was bigger than 6.5% abv, and reasoned there was no rush while I dealt with the deluge of beers I received from an NBS BIF from WesMantooth. And then I forgot all about it...
Poured into a big-ass Tripel Karmeliet tulip glass, this was a hazy, honey-amber color, with a massive, off-white head that required two pours and left me with the fear it might be infected. Lots of lace.
Not infected. Spicy, peppery nose, slightly fruity notes as well.
Spicy, peppery, and slightly grassy and herbal Belgian yeast notes dominate. Mild fruity notes,.reminiscent of pears also present, but rather low in the mix. Ends on a lightly crisp note.
Body between light and medium, more towards the latter. Mouthfeel is spot on for a saison.
A nice saison that isn't particularly distinctive, apart from it's better than average mouthfeel for an example brewed in this country. I'm reasonably certain this was not a cheap beer,.and well-made saisons are happily part of my local beer scene, so I probably wouldn't buy it again.

500 ml. bottle.
Moderate pour yields a one inch white head over a golden body with some lacing. Head dissipates after a few minutes and comes back very nicely after a swirl or two. Peppery nose with a slight floral aspect with even slighter funk; interesting. Tastes of the spice with a little sweetness before the simcoe hop bitterness comes through ever so slightly. Very nice feel on this with a nice dry finish and overall, I'll be having this again. Cheers!

Pours an effervescent honey color with a thumb of cream colored head. Average lacing & head retention
S: Spicy yeast, floral hops, white grape & pear as this warms
T: Follows the nose along with tangerine & dryness, a little bit of grapefruit too. Dryness, tangerine & a little peppery yeast as this warms . Finishes with dryness, a a little pomelo & yeasty bite
MF: Medium body, restained carbonation
One of the better beers I've had from these guys, very drinkable. Still pricy
