Poured from 12oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 7/17/20. This appears to be a lemon variant of their standard Hex Grisette.
Appearance: shimmery pale silver-golden hue with a dash of haze and a finger of fizzy white foam that dissipates pretty quickly. Decent look, except perhaps for head retention.
Smell: a light maltiness along with a little bit of farmhouse funk. I'd say there are hints of lemongrass, but you know, the label tells me there's actual LEMON here. So, I'd say, it's at least correctly-advertised.
Taste: a light malty flavor with a definite wheaty character, complemented by a slight yeast funk and just a dash of lemon character. The lemon is less pronounced, and more balanced, in the flavor than in the aroma. It really works for me.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body but with a big carbonation. The creaminess is a little rocky, but it's nice.
Overall: this beer is super quaffable to me. The low ABV along with the flavor punch of funk+lemon really works. Check it out!
