500mL bottle into a Hennepin glass. Pours a slightly hazy, golden color with a bright clean white head.

Aroma is bright and grassy, mildly tart. Classic saison smell. Green apples.

Taste is likewise funky, earthy, grassy. Biscuity malt. Light mineral/crushed aspirin quality. Mild lemon juice.

Mouthfeel is clean and light, crisp finish.

Overall a pretty good, average saison. Not mind-blowing but enjoyable.

Clear golden amber brew with lots of sticky foam in the Timmermans goblet. Lush and sudsy on the tongue with a sharp note. Aromatic with straw, hot cereal, and a whiff of the barnyard. Tastes of old grape juice, green tea, and something woody. Quite grainy and earthy with a dry finish.

This is a workmanlike Saison, with the cereal and yeasty flavors predominant. There is a tangy yet buttery finish. A slight bitterness and herbal sensation with a somewhat disagreeable astringency in the aftertaste. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Elizabeth Station.

Poured into a Gulden Draak tulip. Pours a hazy, medium golden amber with a one finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of grainy malt, wheat, hay, apple juice and a hint of caramel. Flavor is grainy malt, faint apple juice, bretty funk and a little Belgian style yeast with banana esters. Moderately funky finish. Medium bodied with sharp carbonation. A solid farmhouse ale with just the right amount of brett for my taste. Not tart as many Urban Family farmhouse ales tend to be, which is a pleasure. Flavor is a little light on the grain depth, but otherwise is a pleasant grainy, rustic ale. Enjoyable.
