Poured into a Gulden Draak tulip. Pours a medium golden amber with a half finger off-white head that dissipates to patches leaving light lacing. Classic tripel aroma of sweet malt, light apple family fruit, white grapes, clove, hints of banana and toffee. Flavor follows, candi malt, apple, pear and light grape, clove, banana; phenolic and lightly estery in the finish. Medium bodied with light creaminess. A full flavored and traditional tripel, but a bit on the sweet side (not a issue in for my taste), but otherwise covers all the bases I hope for in a good tripel. ABV well covered. I liked this a lot and will get it again.

Might as well toss up a review (I stopped reviewing) since I enjoy this one so much.
Without going overboard, the best way for me to describe this beer would be "pineapple upside-down cake in a glass." The yeast notes are milder than most Belgian tripels, which appeals to me, since overbearing phenols tend to lose me in stronger beers. This one cranks up the fruity notes and bready characteristics instead.
The recipe has been tweaked to be slightly drier and spicier, but it still appeals to me in the same way that the 2013 version did...if not more.
This is probably my favorite beer from 2014 and I'm not even much of a tripel fan.
