another banger in this series from shades, i am so stoked they are selling cans in idaho now, ive pretty much loved all their beers, especially these sours, way ahead of the game. this one is clever, done with sauvignon blanc juice and hallertau blanc hops, a pretty natural union of ingredients, but on this simple clean lightly sour base they play together brilliantly. its nothing special to look at, but beer is for drinking, and the flavor of this is remarkable. its immediately vinous with the grapes, skinny and tannic, some minerals present, soft citrus, kiwi fruit, and honeydew melon as well, with a light botanical element from the hops and the lemony pucker of the lacto souring, synergistic and drinkable. the body is light but this still tastes like beer, with a light wheat and pale barley base it seems, enough carbonation to make it refreshing, and not so acidic that it would prevent me from drinking a half dozen of them if i had them. i love the dry hop profile this has, it works real well with the fruit, and i get tart pineapple and white tea notes late, on top of the green grape and white wine qualities. really tasty stuff, makes me even more stoked for the peach cobbler beer from this series i have in the fridge for tonight!

12 oz can at share. Pale golden pour, light haze, flat. White grapes in the aroma and taste, soft tart notes. A little grape skin too, but not too much
