Lightly hazed dark orange-hued gold with a finger of near-white head that quickly fizzes away into almost nothingness.
Huge fresh jalapeño aroma. Smells like biting into a fresh pepper. Maybe a tiny hint of smoke and rice beneath, but the jalapeño really steals the show.
The taste isn’t quite as intense but still has jalapeño in the lead role from start to finish. There’s a touch of cakey breadiness in there as well that lends a kiss of sweetness, although the finish is fairly dry with maybe a bit of toast. No really heat to the beer. Just that jalapeño flavor lingering into the aftertaste.
Medium bodied with fairly strong fizz.
Delivers as advertised. Huge jalapeño flavor with none of the heat.

Blind Review.
Post review comments: I think that an 84 rating is too low. This beer accomplishes a nice feat. Big hot pepper aromas on the nose, prominent hot pepper flavor without the heat, allowing the crispness of the lager to shine through.
Look: The beer pours a pale to medium amber color. It is translucent and a little cloudy. A huge, bone white head disappears faster than it form. A lot of carbonation steaming up from the bottom.
Smell: OK. This beer smells like it’s chock full of hot habanero peppers. Oily, earth and vegetal pepper notes. There is some sweet fruityness but it’s hard to get much else beyond the peppers. A little bready. No discernible alcohol. Damn, Jay, a bold blind beer. Might need to punish you for this depending on the actual level of heat.
Taste: Upon tasting the beer I am putting my money on the fact that it is a chili beer. However, the heat is subtle, and much less than I expected based on the prominent pepper aroma. The heat lingers a bit in the back of my throat, but not so much on my palate. It finishes with a crackery dryness that makes me think lager or an ale with wheat. There’s some other flavor that I keep wanting to call “fruity” but I can’t really pinpoint it. Almost melon or grape like. No discernible alcohol.
Feel: A thin bodied beer. With an effervescent mouthfeel. As mentioned above, the heat is subtle, but certainly there.
Overall: I’m finding it difficult to determine the style beyond chili beer. I don’t think it’s an IPA. It could be a very clean pale ale. Or simply a lager. Ok, I’m going lager with habanero. Somewhere in the 5% - 6% range.

Description from the menu, "Great jalapeno flavor and aroma with just a touch of heat."
Appearance is a pale gold color, very clear.
Smell is strongly jalapeno, a nice fresh smell.
Taste follows the nose. Tastes like eating a fresh jalapeno, without almost any heat. This would be a great beer to drink with a bag of jalapeno chips or something off the grill.
Mouthfeel is pleasant, just a bit of heat, as advertised in the description.
Overall, this was one of two beers I would like to drink again from this brewery. Worth trying if you like chile beers.
