A-Pours crystal clear and bright yellow. Soft, white head is fizzy and it mostly pops away leaving nearly nothing.
S-Yikes, that is smoky. Akin to an aggressive Rauchbier. Not really picking up any IPA characteristics here. Holy smokes.
T-Very smoky with little else to speak of. Peaty and meaty. I guess I do pick up some citrus and it finishes a bit grainy. I am surprised how smoking solely the hops delivers such a huge smoky flavor.
M-The heavy smokiness lingers. The body is also fairly light and it seems to contradict the smokiness; I feel as though this needs more body to work well with the flavor.
O-Cool idea, and they really got a lot of smoke but this one was not for me. IPA? Perhaps not.
