poured into CS tulip glass.
Appearance: opaque medium orange bodied beer with 2 full fingers of white head. Head drops down to thin cap and leaves moderate lacing on the side of the glass.
Smell: Tropical fruits, cat piss, and grapefruit rinds. doughy malts.
Taste: Moderate bitterness. Starts off with bready and doughy malts that impart a hint of sweetness and then the bitterness builds up all the way through the finish. Hops profile is loaded with dankness and cat piss, I would say a bit more than I would personally like. Loads of citrus rind that is mostly grapefruit rind and some orange rind in there too. Pine resin really pops out on the back end as well.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation. The carbonation is slightly creamy. The intensity of the hop oils really makes this beer dry and bitter. Not boozey at all for a 7% IPA.
Overall: This is a good IPA that nightshift brewed here, but for my tastes it started to get to that point of being too hoppy and it was more bitter than I like for my tastes. Besides the beer being more bitter than I prefer, it was good overall.
