Another one of my pickups while on a trip last month to NE. Pours a nice cloudy straw/orange color. Immediate yeasty smell when poured but it mellows into a nice citrus and some of the peppercorn towards the end. Taste is very similar to the smell, starts yeasty, citrus in the middle, peppercorn at the end. Thin body. This is a good solid saison.

I tried this at a recent saison tasting we had, poured chilled in a willybecker.

The color is golden/amber with moderate haze and thin white head. The smell is earthy with some funk in the yeast dept. feel is decent with moderately low carbonation and sweetness level.

The taste is slightly vegetal/earthy with some yeasty funk and mild malt with a mostly dry finish. Overall this is not bad a pretty tasty saison but not exceptional.

Bottle. Poured a hazy yellow color. It doesn't have much potency in the nose. Lighter malt, Saison yeast, maybe a bit earthy. Flavor tastes like Belgian yeast, biscuit, some spice and a bit of pepper. Light alcohol heat. Thinner bodied. Very mediocre. Not memorable.

On tap at the brewery. Served in a snifter. Orange body. Small white head. Aroma of doughy malts and banana like yeasty aromas. Tastes very sweet up front. Banana behind it. Peppercorns in the finish, but I never really get the orange peel. Medium heavy. Average, but not something I’m really enjoying.

Pale yellow in color. Fairly clear in appearance. Nice saison. Lots of pepper and Belgian yeast in the taste. Finishes crisp and slightly sweet. Easy drinking. Definitely not a funky saison.
