Canned 2/24/20

Pours just a lightly cloudy gold with 2 fingers of bubbly white head that reduces to a cap, inconsistent lacing

Melons immediately come to mind when I smell this, some light pepper and citrus

I wish I could say the taste was clear, but it's kinda just everything in the aroma muddled together, no real definition. I catch some of that melon in the back end of the sip but it's underwhelming

Thinner than I was expecting and not much carbonation. Doesn't finish sticky but it's not dry either

Overall a disappointment from Night Shift, but maybe it was a freshness issue at 7 weeks. I'd try it again if I find it fresh because I love these guys, but until then it's a no from me dog

16oz can. Pours a slightly cloudy pale yellowish orange with over an inch of fluffy head. Lots of lacing. Big whiff of Mosaic. Berries, tropical and citrus fruits. Maybe a hint of pine. The taste is more of the fruit flavors with a bit of honey, pine and sweet toasted malts. Pineapple, tangerine and mixed berries. Sweet malt finish. Soft body with an oily mouthfeel.

Another excellent beer from this brewery. It pours slightly cloudy. The smell is not overpowering, but strong. The beer has a slight pine taste, and is crisp and clean. A full taste that encompasses the entire mouth and makes one take notice of this beer. An extremely pleasant finish as well, with slight fruity notes.

Poured from a can dated 12/20/18 into the test glass.
A - Slightly hazy straw color, vibrant carbonation, feed relentlessly into a beautiful white cap.
S - Strong tropical fruit nose, mixes well with hints of earthy pine,
T - Sweet malt base, then the fruit rolls in with pine apple, and orange peel competing, the piney tone trips its way through that tropic thread.
M - Sweet start, moves quickly into a beautiful drying pattern, carbonation works to facilitate the clean up
O - A very good display of Mosaic , with the malt base is structured well for the offering

A: The beer is slightly hazy yellow in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high white head that died down and left lots of lacing on the surface and the sides of the glass and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of stone fruits are present in the nose along with hints of mangos.
T: The taste has flavors of orange citrus and mango with hints of pine. There is a light to moderate amount of associated bitterness from the hops.
M: It feels medium-bodied and quite "juicy" on the palate with a moderate amount fo carbonation.
O: This IPA has a nice blend of fruity aromas and flavors from the hops. It is very drinkable.

Had this on tap at the Barking Dog Ale House in Haverhill, MA. Was told this was the Mosaic version. The beer had a clear, yellow appearance with a large head. Aromas had an herb-like faintness. The taste was ok; decently hoppy but a good amount of malt flavors. Very refreshing beer; great with my meal. Overall, the mouthfeel was one of my favorite attributes to this beer.

Canned 7/11. Poured to IPA glass on 7/21.
Simple hop smell is not strong but sure.
Light , Crisp, well balanced, a little bit feel like a IPL or session.
But core taste of hop is very good. Very good (light side) IPA.
(Batch 2) Tried many cans but still This one is great.
simple and clean and crisp but balance of the taste is rich and well harmonized.
(Batch3, 2019) Same as above but,,,. too simple ?

Drinks more like an IPL. It looks more clear/filtered than your typical IPA these days, especially from these guys. Flavor is short, snappy. Hops are pineapple-like in the aroma, herby and bright in flavor. Quenching. Fairly bitter finish but too much. Not overwhelming. Decent IPA for 2018

A light, fizzy beer that’s eminently drinkable. Not particularly flavorful and with a bitter aftertaste. For Night Shift, this one is just OK, but still a solid choice for a hot summer day like this one.

Pours a very hazy yellow-gold color with maybe a tinge of spring green. Soapy one finger head settles quickly and leaves sparse rings.

Aroma is pungent with pineapple notes from the mosaic hops. Very nice.

Taste is clean and crisp with a very fine balance between the pineapple hops and the underlying moderate malt.

Feel is crisp and seltzery with a slight stickiness to the lips. Bitterness is low.

Full of flavor and a very clean, crisp taste and feel. Very typical of Night Shift, which is a good thing.

A: Pours a hazy yellow color with 2 fingers of head that slowly fades down to a thin cap that leaves lots of sticky lacing

S: Lots of stone fruit and citrus up front, along with a light bready malt backbone. Mosaic all the way

T: Follows the nose. Starts off with the stone fruit and slowly goes into some citrus and citrus peel bitterness. Bready malt comes through to balance things out. Finishes with lingering bitterness and stone fruit

M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation

O: An IPA that is most definitely all mosaic. Malt does just enough to balance, but aside from that, it's all hops. Easy to drink and leaning towards NE IPA style-wise. Solid

Tall can...11/6/2017

Light haze, lighter w/ a yellowy hue, off white lasting cap, loose low sheeting, as well as areas of lace all up the glass.

Herbal and ripe fruity notes upon the sniff

Zesty IPA with light resiny/herbal/citric hop notes....I get grapefruit pith, oranges, more resin, light peppery spice...pleasing brightly flavorful brew...well worth a try

A: Poured from the can (consumed on 11/21/17; canned on 11/6/17, so this one is just a hair over 2 weeks old) - into a Piraat tulip/snifter-type glass. Body is surprisingly light in color - slightly hazy straw yellow with a 1.5-finger bubbly white head that settles pretty quickly to leave behind a bit of lace.

S: Nice nose. Juicy mix of tropical fruit and citrus, with a touch of pine. Think pineapple juice and orange peel.

T: First impression: this beer "feels" like a Session IPA in many ways. Very light-feeling in heft - this drinks more like an American Wheat Ale than an IPA in a lot of ways. Hops bring light tropical fruit, green apple skins and white grapes. Hint of grass or pine at the finish, which is crisp and fairly dry.

M: See above comments. Carbonation is fine but active.

O: A white wine of IPAs, this one has vinous characteristics aplenty, but yet still reminds you it's a beer. A solid, easy-drinker.

Canned on 11/2/17 opened on 11/13/17

A white-out stule hazy, light straw color....full on, fat crystal white foam that is basically a tower of foam and bubbles. A very light color. A constant thin and scattered cover with fat patterns of sticky lace artwork leftover.

The aroma is actually very "old world" hop style. Big, dense herbs, spices, golden wheat and assorted grains.light but crisp and herbal malted barley edge is pretty righteous. Cream o corn style malty thing mixed in with the Mosaic, pineapple, green apples, white grape juice, honeydew mellon , grandma's old school spice rack effect, with a tropical, dense sweet layers. A very, very nice aroma. Did I mention a really sweet honey edged malt thing.....dang.

A light feeling, crispy bite and airy, easy drinking mouthfeel and body with an herbal, dry and leafy hop taste and tangy-dry ending. Oooooh lala.

What does the Mosiac hop bring flavor wise? Dry and earthy, but light and bright wheat and grains, white grape juice, green apples, herbs and spices with light citric notes. The light, crisp malt provides the perfect balance of dried golden wheat and herbs within its flavor and feel. Spring water, herbs and sour fruits hit the spot in the finish. This hop profile is surprisingly "old school" herbal and spicy. A light starfruit and cantalope flavor rides on at the end.

Overall, much more unique, if not odd flavors from the hops and an excellent, light andveasy body from the malt. Highly enjoyable.

A: Cloudy, but not completely opaque. Bright, golden clean. Not a standard sediment filled NE IPA.

S: Oranges, lots of mango. Bright and welcoming.

T: Nice! Sticky, floral, juicy. Tons of that dank stickiness we associate with mosaic. It's quite light bodied and peppery at the end though. Not cloying. Easy drinker.

O: Maybe one of my favorite OHTT...up there with vic's secret

I've started to rely on their series of one-hopped beers to get a sense for what tastes come from what hops. Such an enjoyable experience. On that note - I guess mosaic is where so many tropical fruit notes come from. Mango, stone fruit, passion orange and a bit of pineapple on the nose. Earthy malt with some evergreen characteristics join in on the taste. Another outstanding, imbalanced hoppy beer from Night Shift that serves up mosaic on a platter to feast upon.
