Imperial Shandy-Style Ale with Lemonade. This isn't your average shandy. At 8% this tart sipper pours pale straw in color and sips tart and tangy with aromas of fresh lemon zest and lemon candies, and sour lemon pith and lemon juice on the taste.

Canned 5/31/22
Canned Shandy seems to be a bit of a trend these days with smaller breweries. Obviously you have your Leinenkugels and such always packaging them, but I've seen a few breweries putting them out there recently, none that I trust more than Night Shift. Now, this one is 8% which is unusual for a Shandy, but I'm excited nonetheless. Let's dive in
Pours a cloudy brownish orange with 2 fingers of creamy off white head that fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing
This is quite sweet in the nose, but the tartness present from the lemons is really nice. I'm picking up on aromas of bready malt, lemon candy, lemon juice, caramel, cereal grain, and light orange zest
Oh wow, the swallow here is almost sickeningly sweet, but at least it's lightly tart up front to balance it out. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting lemonade, crackery malt, honey, lemon juice, and light white pepper. The swallow brings notes of doughy malt, sweet honey, sugary lemonade, bread crust, and orange zest
A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a tart and slightly chalky beer. Finishes mostly dry but still quite sweet
I'm conflicted with this one. It's not bad overall, but the swallow is just to much for me unfortunately. Still, it's not too hard to finish the can
