Thanks, Bill!
Was lucky enough to get this beer and a few others on a recent work trip to Reno. It was a little bit older than my 60-day rule (actually 77 days) but being a Monkish beer it should still be OK. Untappd description was a “Double IPA with Nelson, Citra, Mosaic, and Galaxy hops.”
Poured a bright light golden hazy color with three fingers of frothy white head. Could see a few stranded bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. World-class semi-layered lacing. Almost perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled pretty damn good. For the mentioned hops, in order got Nelson, Galaxy, Mosaic and Citra. Specifically got passion fruit, Skittles candy, peach, papaya, tangerine, orange rind, pineapple, grapefruit, mango, floral and a touch of licorice somehow. About as good from the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Taste had its moments. In order got Nelson, Galaxy, passion fruit, Skittles candy, peach, papaya, tangerine, Mosaic, bitter citrus rind, pineapple, grapefruit, Citra, mango, floral, light mint and hints of licorice. Fairly smooth for 8.5 pct. ABV. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, dry finish. (Feel - 4.00)
Another quality offering from Monkish. (Overall - 4.25)

Pours a cloudy, creamy pale banana peel yellow-orange color with fat finger of yellowed head. Modest retention, but heavy lacing.
Orange citrus, underripe pineapple, cut grass and cat piss in the nose.
Similar elements carry to the taste, but more muted than in the aroma. Strong citrus pith also muddies the other characteristics. A hint of lime does shine through.
Full bodied with strong fizziness.
Pithy citrus dominates the taste here. Ten years ago, this might have seemed remarkable. Today, it remains middle of the pack.

Pours an opaque, dark golden orange body capped with two fingers of creamy, white foam; solid head retention leaves a finger of fluffy, rocky cap, massive, frothy collar, and extensive splatter of soapy lacing caked across the walls of the glass.
Aromas of fresh grapefruit eased by pithy peach and mango zest peak with an orange sherbet overtone; dank and musty edges accent, while a subtle white grape underscore evolves over time.
Taste brings papaya and underripe orange upfront, with grapefruit peel leading to a dank, grassy mid-palate before musty white grape amplifies over the back end of the profile.
Mouthfeel presents a medium body and a fluffy, moderate carbonation, with creaminess upfront contrasting a taut prickle as slick resins proceed over the mid-palate to meet a rounded juiciness and largely clean closing impression.
Fresh peach sweetness counters a building, boggy dank sporting white grape subtleties in a sample of assically balanced haze from Monkish; all hops on the bill are accentuated cleanly and with ample depth.

ours a hazy light orange with soft, fluffy head.
Smell is juicy and grassy with notes of mango, citrus, cough syrup and dank melon.
Taste is juicy, dank and grassy. Notes of mango, citrus, pineapple and some woody and herbal hints. Soft bitterness with a slightly astringent hop burn.
Mouthfeel is medium, soft and pillowy with good carbonation.
Overall, a very good NE DIPA, just a bit too astringent.

Sweet tropical hoppy, hint of earthy/grassiness, and orange citrus nose on this one! Taste follows with a balanced, hoppy and orange citrus bitter finish...unfortunately, some earthy bitterness starts to peek out more and more as it warms on the backend. Soft on the palate...good.

Pours cloudy yellow color with a 1+ finger off white head that faded slowly and left minimal spotty lacing. Aroma is super dank and smells like weed with a bunch of fresh citrus fruit. The nose is very tropical and leads the flavor with a mix of citrus, fresh hops and a malty sweetness on the back end. Lots of grapefruit, orange, lemon zest, pineapple, tangerine, melon, skunk weed, light piney notes, tea leaf, biscuit, toasted grains and faint caramel. Very smooth and easy to drink, this is a nice dank IPA.

Pours a pale hazy straw yellow color. Smell is a peach bomb with a little bit of pineapple. A little bit of mango and other assorted juicy goodness. Taste follows the smell starting dry but sweet in the middle and the back end. It feels pillowy soft. Overall a solid jpa but just a touch too bitter.
