Look - black and thick with a great rimming and lacing
Smell and taste - straight brownie batter. Chocolate bourbon balance and not overly boozy. Smells a step down from the taste
Feel - full body with a light crisp carb
Overall - fantastic!

Had on tap at Sandwich. Pours opaque, jet black in color with minimal head. Taste is big barrel, cocoa, brownies, fudge with light vanilla. Heavy body, low carbonation, slightly sweet. Nice barrel touch, sweet but more than just a chocolate stout. Excellent beer.

2023 vintage

L -- Pours practically still and very syrupy in the glass
S -- Dark chocolate fudge, coffee syrup, vanilla, nougat, bourbon, hint of roast
T -- Irish coffee, chocolate syrup, oak, sugar dusted fig, cacao nibs. The adjuncts obscure the barrel-aged base a little more than many of their Truth variants, which I think is a bit of a negative
F -- The usual thick, velvety, syrupy mouthfeel that is characteristic of these Tree House offerings while not being cloying
O -- It's a good sign when my main complaint is that the adjuncts are maybe a bit much. Often they're used to mask an otherwise so-so beer. Not here.

Brewers notes : Brownie is an Imperial Stout created from select bourbon barrel-aged stout aged 12 to 24 months and then conditioned upon chocolate and coffee. The resulting beer is absurdly delicious, carrying a medium-full body with rich notes of brownie batter, bourbon chocolate fudge, tootsie rolls, coffee liqueur, and pleasant pervasive notes of medium-toast oak. Its depth of character is only possible with time, patience, and careful stewardship. A product over two years in the making, we are immensely excited for you to enjoy it!

I love Tree House. My favorite brewer. The wax on these bottles is thick and tough . @digitalnate , I’m looking at you!

Chilled 500ml waxed bottle poured into a tree house customer appreciation embossed snifter . Autumn 2023 vintage , 12.3% abv, a heavy hitter .

Pours a Black motor oil, thick , viscous , heavy, heavy liquid . Dark brown pencil thick layer forms and soon thereafter fades away , recedes to a faint brown ring.

Aroma is subtle bourbon, smells like rural Kentucky, baking cocoa powder, fudge brownies , molasses, toffee…not getting as much coffee

Taste is sweet, bourbon ,fudge brownies ,chocolatey, pecans, tootsie rolls indeed!!

Velvety Smooth, thick, no boozy heat but definitely punches in the heavyweight class, rich body with little or no carbonation

Great beer, luscious, rich, velvety..gonna need two years on the peloton to equal the calories in this brew

Decent head production given the ABV and style, although retention and lacing are still lacking.

Super rich aroma. You might be forgiven for not expecting coffee in a beer called Brownie, but there's no mistaking the presence on the nose. Additional notes are as predictable as they are delectable: chocolate, bourbon, molasses, toffee, toast.

Flavor follows: this is rich, thick, dark, decadent, and rewarding. The bourbon isn't as strong as you might expect given the significant time spent in barrels, but it is noticeable, particularly around mid-sip. Additional notes include pecan, walnut, chocolate, cola, molasses, fudge, coffee, toast.

This one really lives up to the name, and then some. As far as BA chocolate imperial stouts go, it isn't quite up there with the best in the business (IMO, Prairie, Bottle Logic, et al). but it's really damn good.

Dark brown oily appearance, light brown head, and watery drippy lacing. Explosive notes of fudge, brownie batter, coffee, with bourbon notes that make themselves known despite the intense chocolate and coffee notes. Thick, silky, long lasting mouthfeel, light carbonation.

500ml waxed and capped bottle into a Tree House teku.

Pours thick, rich, and viscous. Thick mocha legs with no head or lace. Nose is exactly a semi-sweet brownie with an extra dusting of cocoa powder just for good measure. Dense and aromatic but not overly sweet. Beer opens chocolate, oak, leather, and tobacco. Some dried dark fruit in the middle along with a touch of sweet soy sauce and roasted malt. More cocoa powder, leather, and wood to finish. Great barrel presence. Body is full with little to no carbonation. Rich and thick on the palate and goes down chewy and messy with a lingering aftertaste.

Tree House's barrel program has really kicked things up a notch and it shows. This is fantastic.

Poured from the bottle into a elongated tulip glass. Under cap What are you waiting for. Autumn 2023 vintage. Black wax on bottle.

Inked out dark walnut brown and nearly black. Oily consistency and thick, with sheen black top and leggy shine. No foam, and barely a collar of just faint pencil thin tan bubbles.

Aroma is big and varied. Kirsch like cherry brandy, roasted coffee, fudge and nougat like nut as well. Expressive bold and decadent with heated whiskey and rounded barrel notes of oak and some molasses. Wonderful aged nose.

Playful and bold palate. Slight honey texture but also misses some of the rich round feeling on the palate. There's also a hint of faint fizz which is slightly distracting. However, this doesn't dumb down things and the beer still shines. Honey and molasses light sweetness followed by unexpected cherry and fruit warmth. Dark chocolate and more honey, even a little cinnamon spicy with the added carbonation. Fruited raspberry, cherry and more heated plum to raisin notes while drinking.

The coffee angle isn't so noticeable on the palate, but the fruit sensations are truly unexpected and exceptional. Runs a little hot but not terribly. There's some good stuff at work here, hope they make a good barrel program and looks like they have a great start.
