Queen Machine - Amarillo is the fourth entry in our series exploring concentrated lupulin pellets! During sensory analysis, we found these hops to be incredibly expressive with true to type character and no vegetal or overly abrasive notes whatsoever.
The beer pours a beautiful hazy yellow color in the glass and expresses concentrated notes of clementine, sweet grapefruit, melon salad, and blended tropical fruits.
Queen Machine - Amarillo is an insanely delicious beverage, carving out a distinctive and highly enjoyable space in our line-up. We are excited for you to enjoy it!

Canned on 8/11/21; consumed on 8/26/21
Pours an opaque, golden burnt orange body capped with multiple fingers of wavy, dense, white foam; great head retention leaves a thick half-finger of creamy cap, a sizeable, frothy collar, and a myriad splatter of thin, soapy lacing caked around the walls of the glass.
Aroma introduces wisps of peach to a predominant sweet grapefruit nectar upfront, while cantaloupe meets mineralic undertones into the middle of the bouquet and hints of dank spice, orange, and tangerine build a citric backbone into pink grapefruit essence on the close.
Taste opens with a lush mango sweetness contrasting a rawer mineralic touch; grassy hops ease into green guava and mushy banana over the mid-palate as overripe peach further saturates the back end and wet moss brings an earthy finish.
Mouthfeel offers a medium body with a moderate carbonation levying a fluffy prickle to a taut consistency through the mid-palate and beyond; a quiet juicy quality gathers resins to a soft bitterness on the back end, finishing with a soft easygoing grit.
The plush yeast base sets a juicier, tropical tone in typically balanced, Tree House fashion,, while the profile as a whole remains earthy and focused, showing Amarillo front and center as advertised.

16 oz can.
Pours a muddy pale orange color with a finger of creamy white head. Moderate retention. Leaves a nice ring of lacing along the top of the glass.
The aroma brings a fair bit of grapefruit and orange up front, followed by some peach and pineapple.
The flavor follows the nose: Grapefruit and orange as well as peach and pineapple notes. Some light mango and honeydew melon.
The feel is medium bodied with lower carbonation. Creamy and relatively soft.
Overall this is a very good double NEIPA, though by Tree House standards it's relatively disappointing. There's some nice flavors here, but nothing that really stands out. This could be mistaken for any local brewery's standout DIPA, but this is Tree House and the standards are much higher. Not to mention it's carrying the "Machine" name. A very good beer overall, but don't seek this out.
