Quadruple Shot Vanilla Cold Brew is a special rendition of Quadruple Shot deriving all of its coffee character from House-roasted and extracted cold brew concentrate and whole bean vanilla. This beer genuinely pursues the boundaries of coffee and vanilla character in a stout, yet retains perfect balance and flavor saturation. Pushing the boundaries results in a singular beverage that helps us perfect our regular offerings. This is a chocolate, coffee, and vanilla explosion unlike anything else.

On tap at the cape Cod Treehouse location, draft poured into a 10oz plastic cup. Thick black motor oil with a one finger brown foam cap.

12oz. bottle into a Founders snifter.
A super dense pour yields a slowly cascading 1 finger dense mocha colored head. Spotty, thick lace. Pitch black color. Nose is milk chocolate, vanilla ice cream and sweet cream. Super aromatic but warns of the intense sweetness that's coming. Beer opens vanilla ice cream, sweet cream, milk chocolate, and iced coffee. Super sweet but there's some balance here. Molasses, more coffee, and more vanilla in the middle. Chocolate, mocha, and more layers of vanilla to finish. Long, sticky sweet aftertaste. Body is full with low carbonation. Smooth, rich, and heavy on the palate and goes down warm with a long, lingering aftertaste.
Super sweet still but this is easily the best of the Quad shot variants.

This would just be better at a lower AbV and same coffee. I like it but it’s over a line that their double and triple shots straddle. Sweetness goes a bit too much, and it has such low head retention / carb.

Poured at fridge temp into a Tree House glass. Pours as dark as night with almost no head. Nose is rich chocolate, coffee beans, vanilla, milk, toffee, a bit of maple, and a slight amount of dark fruit. Chocolate, vanilla, and smooth coffee are definitely the main players here.
Taste: Utterly fantastic. Lots of coffee immediately. This is one of the more coffee-forward beers I have had in a while. Absolutely lovely. Rich dark chocolate, caramel, vanilla, lactose, roasted malts, black licorice, and a slight amount of charred oak. The depth is impressive given the strength of the coffee. It's complex, yet there's no mistake what went into this.
Mouthfeel and overall: Thick and creamy! Dang, this is just a smooth and viscous beer. The aftertaste is sweet and slightly bitter. Overall, a HUGE winner for me.

Had on tap at Sandwich. Pours opaque, dark brown in color with 1/2 inch head. Taste is big vanilla wafer and coffee. Heavy body, low carbonation, sweet. Very good for a coffee stout. Vanilla balances perfectly with the coffee. Would get again if I wanted a coffee beer.

Big cold brew coffee. Light vanilla. More bitter coffee than sweet vanilla. Nice thickness. The cold brew is dominate when this beer is cold, but as it warms up the vanilla and the cold brew coffee seems to balance together very nicely.

Very good head production and retention. Body is dark black, a perfect blend of a stout and coffee appearance.
Absolutely insane amount of coffee on the nose, carrying with it notes of berries and earth. Along with the coffee, I pick up toffee, vanilla, molasses, and honeycomb.
Thick, sticky, chewy mouthfeel. It's a big (huge!) beer at 11.4% ABV, but it drinks unbelievably smooth. Not like coffee, however; closer to a smoothie. It's unquestionably a dessert beer, even though the sweetness seems to be all derived from the malt base and the vanilla. Just a hint of lively sting, but you can really sip, sit, savor, and chew this beer to your heart's content - and I recommend you do.
There's plenty of coffee on the palate, and it has staying power, lasting through the finish, but it's far less potent than the intimidating "quadruple shot" and "cold brew" labels imply. There's plenty of "stout" in this coffee stout. There's also plenty of vanilla. The result is a lush, moderately sweet, rich, and decadent experience. Caramel, coffee, toffee, honeycomb, molasses, vanilla, chocolate, chewy toast; bark and leather on the finish, along with coffee and berries. Moderate bitterness from char and coffee, but less than you might expect.
