Monochrome Quadruple Shot features our beloved core blend Monochrome in an extreme dose! The result is an immensely chocolate-forward stout with notes of milk chocolate, chocolate caramel chews, and freshly roasted coffee. It is an incredible beer that has taken years to bring to this point—we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

12 oz can poured into a snifter. Pours pitch black with a small tan head with tight bubbles. Aroma and flavor feature massive amounts of black coffee with dark roasted malts, caramel, dark chocolate, and vanilla. Thick, chewy mouthfeel with low carbonation. Very smooth and easy to drink for the abv. Not really boozy at all. Impressive stuff.

Pours a lovely oily deep brown bordering on black. Nice fuzz of rich cardamom brown head that settles down to nothing. Lightens up at the edges, and again the oily character.
Nose is boozy rounded spicy character with a sweet creamy note. A nutty element as well.
Flavour has a fairly lactose-sweet lead in but then a nice rich coffee bitterness. Some dark chocolate syrup taste as well as a finishing warmth from the alcohol. As I slowly sip through, the sweet is almost more of a marshmallow sweet. Like marshmallow and espresso beans.
Oily, but not particularly thick. Compact fine carpet of carbonation. The lingering impression is the espresso bean bitterness and a sticky sweet element. It grows on me.
Thanks, Maynard!!

Chilled 12oz can poured into a snifter, pencil thick deep brown foam layer recedes to a ring with spotty lacings over a thick black motor oil liquid
Aroma is of sweet coffe, espresso
Taste is coffee, sweet, coffee syrup, espresso
Thick syrupy, coffee taste lingers, bit of booziness with the heat
Good beer

Poured from 12oz can into pint glass in May 2022. There was a canned or brewed date on the can of 03/05/22, and I drank this less than 1 week after purchase.
Appearance: Very dark black with almost no head. Head was tan, and thins out quickly, and leaves very little lacing on the glass, as is typical of imperial stouts.
Smell: Strong coffee aroma as expected. There is some additional sweetness like chocolate and vanilla as well. Not much hop aroma.
Taste: There is some coffee flavor, but not as much as I expected from the aroma. Also some sweet flavors like chocolate and caramel. Maybe a little vanilla flavor as well. Flavors are very bold. There is a strong alcohol presence that matches 11.2% on the label. A strong coffee and chocolate aftertaste, that is really enjoyable.
Mouth-feel: Thick, but with an extremely smooth and creamy body.
This is an excellent Imperial Stout, and it has a variety of flavors that adds a nice complexity to the beer. The balance of flavors is outstanding. It is very smooth and enjoyable to drink. Even though this is very expensive, I would buy this again.
