From a 16oz can dated 03/03/23. Very nice, but perhaps just a touch sweet.

16oz undated can.

Pours cloudy gold with an inch-plus head of white. Plenty of tattered lacing and persistent retention. Mango, orange, peach in the nose. Medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel. Ripe tropicals on the palate with minimal malt or bitterness. Mango, candied peach, orange. Finishes juicy but no trace of coconut.

Canned 3/2/23 “You’re my wonderwall“ stamped on the bottom of the can. Good one

And we have yet another fruited King Julius variant. I just had Island King the other day and noted it was my first double fruited variant, but this one takes it further with triple the fruit. The coconut should nicely complement the mango and peach, so I’m excited to dig in to this

Pours an opaque milky yellow with 3 fingers of soapy off white head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves decent lacing

Oh yeah, that coconut definitely brings a sweetness to the nose, though it is very nicely balanced. I'm picking up on aromas of underripe mango, toasted coconut, jammy apricot, peach rings, doughy malt, light grassy hops, orange zest, and passionfruit

It's not quite as bright in taste, but I'm still really enjoying what the coconut brings to the table here. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting peach rings, orange zest, bready malt, toasted coconut, mango sorbet, resinous hops, and light vanilla. The swallow brings notes of mango sorbet, coconut creme, papaya, doughy malt, peach rings, grassy hops, orange juice, and a touch of grapefruit rind

A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a smooth beer. Finishes a bit chalky but the fruit keeps it in check

It's not my favorite KJ variant, but it's still a win for me. A fun beer for sure

From a 16oz can, undated… wha’? Served in a tulip because fancy.

Pours a thoroughly murky dull orange with a finger of creamy-soft head. Retention is very good and leaves a solid sheet of sudsy lacing.

Nose is juicy and tart. Candy-like, with a robust aroma of ripe peach.

Taste is grittier and chalkier than expected, less the overripe, fleshy sweetness and more the pith and peel. Tasting orange sherbet, peach pie and mango flesh (but mainly because I read about the mango on the label). I only really notice the coconut late in the sip with a sort of low-down, baked and boozy quality, sort of all muddled in with the slightly composty-sour, gritty bitterness.

Feel is juicy (of course, inasmuch as at least part of it is, literally, juice), doughy, medium-hefty bodied with ample fine, tingly carbonation. There’s some sour, composty, boozy smouldering in the gullet, nothing too out of line considering all the fruit and the abv. Still, wondering if there’re any Tums in the medicine cabinet.

Overall, a fun and fantastical novelty beverage, albeit not exactly something I’d be likely to ever buy again. It was simultaneously reminiscent of a fruity cocktail, like a mai tai or something that you’d expect to find a maraschino cherry in, and the liquid that collects in the bottom of the compost pail - but in a good way.

3 months old. Can to wine glass.

L: Pours a full and hazy orange with a fluffy white head that leaves a good amount of lacing. Plenty of floaters.

S: Strong notes of mango with hints of peach and a bit of coconut. Hoppy and slightly grassy.

T: Ripe mango, peach, tangerine and grapefruit. First sweet, then bitter. Grassy and herbal.

F: Full and very juicy with a medium carbonation and a strong hop burn.

O: Even though I couldn't really identify any coconut taste (which I was quite looking forward to), I really enjoyed this beer. Mango and peach complement the grassy and herbal hop notes very smoothly and the bitter finish balances out the sweet fruit notes in a great way. Not the best fruited IPA I've had from TH, but definitely a very good one.

This one pours a very creamy and hazy golden yellow color, with a fluffy head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like creamy pineapple and mango, coconut, floral hops, and passionfruit.

This is absolutely one of the better fruited IPAs that I’ve ever had. The coconut really plays well with the very juicy hop character. I’m not completely sure I’d be able to tell blind that this had extra peach and mango added, as King Julius is pretty peach-y and mango-y to begin with. That being said, it’s certainly bright and juicy, with a pretty intense fruit character.

This is medium bodied, creamy, and very drinkable, with a smooth creamy finish.

This is a really decadent, and a great example of why Tree House remains one of the IPA kings.

Picked-up two cans at Tree House in Sandwich for about twelve dollars. My two hundred and seventy first brew from these guys. Not great liked less than Oasis, overpriced.

Canned on 9/1/22; consumed on 9/17/22

Pours a turbid, burnt orange body capped with just over a finger of white foam; decent head retention leaves a half-finger of rich cap, large, frothy collar, and limited array of chunky, webby lacing lining the walls of the glass.

Aromas of orange juice open to peach creamsicle, meandering to a syrupy mango peak; resins edge the back end of the bouquet as vague tones of gritty, grassy subtext linger.

Taste highlights orange zest upfront, with an oncoming each/mango sorbet dominant in the face of toasty coconut cream undertones; a slightly dank, grassy edge comes through toward the finish.

Mouthfeel is medium-thick and sports a subtle prickle of carbonation phasing to taut yet creamy textures through the mid-palate, leaving a slight, residual grit lingering in contrast to glossier, semi-juicy resins into the finish.

An overtly tropical sheen coats juicy resins into bright, pulpy IPA-shake vibes; fruit is effectively integrated, sweetness is not excessive, and coconut subtleties provide softer nuance to the whole.

Pours an opaque murky straw color with a half finger of head. The nose has coconut and fruit juice notes. The flavor is sweet and fruity with a semi-dry finish. The body is hearty for the style.

I'm not sure what TH was going for here. But, this one is a rare swing & miss.

Pours hazy, orange gold in color with one half inch head. Taste is tangerine, coconut, tropical punch Life Savers and mango. Heavy body, moderate carbonation, slightly bitter. Not my favorite King variant. Solid ipa but I am losing the base beer. Lots of tropical flavor but a pass for me. I think I would have been fine if they would have called this Tropical Storm or something but KJ has certain expectations.
