Peanut Butter Brownie is an imperial stout aged 12-18 months in bourbon barrels and then conditioned atop hand-toasted peanuts, liquid cacao nibs, a hint of coffee, and the essence of milk chocolate. Pouring like molten chocolate in the glass, it exhibits rich notes of baker’s chocolate, toasted peanut butter, and chocolate peanut butter cups. A warming bourbon sensation coats the tongue as you drift away into stout bliss—drink fresh when a celebration warrants this special bottle. Enjoy!

2022 bottling (released in 8/2022); consumed on 8/8/2023
Pours a viscous, dense oil-black body capped with a finger of creamy, bronzed mocha-hued foam; good head retention yields a paper-thin layer of cap, thin yet rich collar, and a limited array of spotty lacing spattered around the walls of the glass.
Aromas of rich peanut butter cups with a brownie batter backing cascade through the bouquet as a dark cocoa lingers to a burgeoning, charry bourbon barrel over time and subtle vanillins fade through spirit-soaked oak.
Taste highlights charry bourbon barrel into dark chocolate ganache upfront, with hints of toasty marshmallow easing to burnt peanut butter cup over the mid-palate and accents of baked through the back end, where dark cherry esters linger into peanut powder through the finish.
Mouthfeel shows a thick, full body with minimal carbonation; a distant grit yields a relaxed, toasty bittering in the backdrop as a resounding barrel warmth takes hold before settling to a modest, wispy char through the swallow.
Massive peanut butter is fresh, natural, and enveloped in a lush cocoa embrace, resulting in a rich, bourbon-soaked peanut butter cup pinnacle; simple in purpose yet brilliant in execution, this is a PB stout in its finest form.

Roasted peanuts and baking cocoa on the nose. Good viscosity with peanut butter brownie flavors really coming though; toasted nuttiness, with over-baked brownie richness and a mild residual bitterness. Finishes smooth. Lava cake vibes, with subtle barrel.

Takes the whole 'liquid candy bar' subcategory of pastry stouts to a new level. Immensely thick, pouring with the viscosity motor oil and almost zero head produced whatsoever. Peanuts dominate everything about the aroma and flavor of this beer, with a sweet bourbon and milk chocolate fudge backbone. Reminds me distinctly of a liquid version of a Baby Ruth bar. One of the thickest, lushest mouthfeels I've had. Definitely good as a gimmick beer, but it's so concentrated in character that after only 6 ounces or so it started to get cloying.

This monster of a stout poured oily black and looks to be as thick as I would expect from the TH stouts I’ve had thus far.
A quick whiff is like sticking your face into a bowl of brownie batter with a swirl of creamy peanut butter sauce. The taste follows suit with nutty peanut and dark bakers chocolate. The only issue I have with it is that, for a beer aged for 12-18 months in bourbon barrels, I get not a hint of barrel.
The ABV isn’t listed on the bottle, but I get no alcohol heat whatsoever.
This is a quality dessert stout that is best split with a friend or two.
