No Surprises is a Czech-style lager featuring a classic yeast strain, Bohemian pilsner malt, and copious amounts of zesty hand-selected Saaz hops. Following primary fermentation and conditioning, it is moved onto a copious dose of hand-selected Saaz hops for additional cold hopping and character development. Extra zippy, crisp, and delicious, No Surprises will leave you satisfied and longing for one tall glass after another—Enjoy!

This one pours a clear golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells very zesty and bitter, in a good way, with doughy malt, spice, and grassiness.
Tree House continues their streak of great lagers with this heavily hop-accented pilsner. It’s lemony, grassy, and bitter, with a pleasantly doughy and crackery malt backbone. Despite the heavy hop character, it’s still well balanced and still appears like a pilsner, instead of just a pale ale in a lager sweater.
This is light bodied, clean, crisp, and super drinkable.
This was extremely easy to drink and very enjoyable.

Picked up a four-pack of tall cans at the Charlton brewery. “Summer 2023” printed on the bottom of the can, so likely as fresh as can be. Massive aromas of honey and still quite strong in the flavor all the way through the finish. Interesting. Likely a result of the yeast strain. Grain bill is unique. Considering I was in Prague recently and drank plenty of Pils, I would say this is not traditional but it’s definitely in line with TH. Very tasty regardless.

16oz. Can served in a willibecker. Pours a pale yellow with a translucent clarity and a tight, three-finger, bright white head. Nose expresses light grassy notes and noble hops. Taste is a little too herbal/medicinal for the style, in my opinion, and lingers at the finish. Mouthfeel is light in body with an assertive carbonation and a crisp finish. Overall, decent it there are far better examples of the style more accessible.

Can pour into a tulip glass.
Straw color with a foamy white head with good retention and lacing. Floral, grain, cracker, scallion notes. Moderate to full body, creamy carbonation.
