New Zealand, a wonderland of diverse landscapes and terrains, each peak and valley unveils a unique spectacle. The sun's golden touch sets everything afire with ethereal colors, and pink and purple mountains surge and dissolve into verdant plains and thickets of lush jungle. As you wander beneath the shadow of these mountains and hills, the moon chasing the sun into a softly glowing dusk, secrets flourish in the dimming light.

The Silver Fern, deeply embedded in New Zealand's traditional and contemporary culture, is an unmatched spectacle globally. This ancient foliage reflects Golden light from its underside, illuminating paths with an eerie brilliance, guiding hunters through the forest as they bend toward the canopy.

Golden Fern is an enticingly amplified rendition of Silver Fern, a Double IPA we released early this year. As it fills your glass, Nelson and Peacharine Hops harmonize the delicate aroma of white grape and summery peach. Underneath this fragrant symphony, Motueka explodes with sweet tropical fruits, while Waimea provides a foundation of citrus peel and subtle wooden notes. May your senses surrender to the allure of this beguiling brew, and let your mind meander amidst the veiled jewels, concealed amidst the ordinary, awaiting discovery.

Purchased 3-days ago cold and kept cold until served. Poured to a pretentious tulip-like glass from a 16oz can stamped PKGD 08/21/25. I paid a semi-extravagant $21.00 for a 4-pack, but I am hoping to relive my enjoyment of Silver Fern.
The body is super opaque and a very light chalky yellow, SRM 1 or lighter. With a simple pour I got a ¾”/18mm head white head of micro-bubbles. This faded to a single layer within 3-4 minutes.
The aroma after the pour is pleasant, hoppy and fruity. However it changes to an oniony smell over time. A little off putting actually.
The taste is quite pleasing however, berries, grapes, and some resin. I know I say this all the time, but… sweet front, bitter finish.
The mouthfeel is pretty heavy with tongue coating goodness.
Really good, but slightly less impressive than I built myself up for.

I read somewhere that it's frowned upon to give 5s, but I don't feel another rating is appropriate. It's the first beer I've had that makes forget that I'm drinking a beer. Balanced herbal hops and a citrus punch without overemphasizing bitterness. There's such a well-rounded malt profile coupled with diverse citrus flavors that it just tastes like food. I would drink this if it was 0% ABV. For those who care about such things, it looks and feels thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.

I knew the very second my nose caught whiff of them NZ hops this would be a banger.

Not sure just how much closer they can come to the ideal NEIPA, and it's great that they make such variety for varied folks' tastes. This one's for me!

Had a single draft at Tree House in Sandwich, Massachusetts for about nine dollars. My three hundred and fifty first brew from these guys. Very good, didn't blow me away.

Opaque and very pale straw yellow with an insanely active white head leaving huge circle patterns of lacing behind.

After Silver Fern, aroma is again crazy explosive of seedy toasty sesame, but taste is far maltier, grahamy, which then mars the nose a hair.

This still comes correct with that super fluffy Tree House body, but it's just a bit too malty for me.
