Platinum Fern is an amped up, Triple IPA version of Silver Fern that exhibits the splendor of New Zealand hops. As it fills your glass, Nelson and Peacharine Hops meld the sweet perfume of white grape and summery peach. Beneath this harmony, Motueka hops burst with flavors of tropical fruits, while Waimea hops provide a subtle blend of citrus peel and woody aromatics. We hope you enjoy this dangerously drinkable treat and ponder what treasures lie hidden in plain sight.

Pours super cloudy banana peel yellow with a finger of yellowed foam head. Moderate retention and lacing.

Jungle rot, honeydew, skunkweed, grass, white wine and lime in the nose.

Super grassy, weedy taste. Distant lime and doughiness. Enjoyably dull finish.

Thick, chewy mouthfeel with some light carb zip under a heavy blanket.

A solid brew. Not as good as I remember others in the fern series being.

One month in the can pours gluggy , solid golden yellow milky murk with a fluffy latte head with a beautiful shiny sheen on top yielding a thick soapy film on the side of the glass. Aroma is jumping peach, grapes, orange rind. Tropical fruits of the rainbow, my salivary glands are hurt so good. Oofa this thick, bubble gum after taste is delic, no sense of the 9.4% abv. This is creamy balances sweet with some smaky, neither overt. Medium carbonation….. overall I love the Fern series, and this one is top notch!!

Pours cloudy orange color with a 2+ finger thick whipped cream looking head that faded very slowly and left excellent lacing. Smells of tangerine, fresh squeezed orange juice, pineapple juice, peach, mango, lemon zest, candied sugar, buttered bread, floral hops and some yeast. Flavor is just like the aroma but with the additions of caramel, peppery spices like coriander, white grapes or champagne, tea leaf and dry hop residue round of the taste. Very little carbonation, low bitterness, a dry finish and velvety smooth texture help hide the ABV, allowing this Triple IPA to go down much easier than expected. A really impressive brew.

L - warm, straw yellow glow. Thick haze. Two fingers of head with a satisfying jiggle if you bump the table.

S - wet, sticky fruitiness. Laden with all the juiciest fruits a la mango, jackfruit, mixed berries, and pineapple. Fresh-baked bread and bubblegum. Smells great.

T - kiwi banana milkshake with a splash of guava puree. All the melons. Honeydew, cantaloupe, hami. More of that saturated angel food cake flavor. Minimal bitterness with a hint of lupulin lingering in the larynx.

F - TH mouthfeel is already so supple and full-feeling.... now they're making TIPAs! Impossibly smooth. Pure velvet cream. Can't drink this slow enough which is a problem considering it's 9.4%.

O - I love the "Fern" series and this just ups the ante. Love it. Thick, full-bodied, and full-flavored. No shortage of juice and jam-packed with all the best fruit flavors. Perhaps a bit too sweet for some, but I'm into it.

Pours a thick hazy medium yellow, very turbid, billowy head. Super sweet and dank hoppy aroma. Pretty sweet, lots of guava, tropical fruit, citrus pith. Delicious. Thick and syrupy, overall a delicious TIPA. Would buy again.

Opaque tannish-maize with a tall but spongy head of khaki foam.

This is yet another Fern that features an amazingly enticing nose--just all the peppery white wine NZ-ness.

Taste also somehow seems less malty than Golden, helping it create a more marmalade shortbread effect, though it's plenty cottonmouth dry and chewy with a little sting in the finish.

Poured from 16oz can stamped “TRY NEW THINGS 06.13.2024” to a nonic at fridge temp.
The apricot body is completely opaque with a generous micro-bubble foam on top. The head fades to a ring but lacing is generous through the session.
The aroma is mostly floral and grapes, but there is an onion trace sneaking through.
Taste is predominated by alcohol. Once you get past that there is a sweet grape and stone fruit, but sadly it's overshadowed. Near the end of the session you can kind of taste the fruit better as you get used to the alcohol.
Mouthfeel is creamy and thick as expected in a TH NEIPA.
I really enjoyed Red Fern but this Platinum is a step back due to the unhidden ABV.
