Frosted Triple Shot Barrel Blend is an amplified version of Double Shot Barrel Blend, featuring one of our favorite seasonal house-roasted coffees, Frost, and a generous dose of freshly ground Madagascar vanilla beans. Pouring like liquid dark chocolate into the glass, the base beer shines with a balanced blend of baker’s chocolate, roasted coffee, and a hint of bourbon heat. With the addition of Frost, carrying well-rounded notes of dark chocolate and vanilla bean, along with the infusion of fresh vanilla bean, the beer becomes a wonderful showcase of roasty, creamy vanilla-bourbon goodness. Here at Tree House, we enjoy collaborating across different departments, often resulting in some of our most esteemed creations.

This is my second barrel-aged Triple Shot variant, but I have yet to sample the base beer.
My impression of this one is similar to the Sunshower variant. The whiskey notes are certainly present but not terribly assertive. Coffee flavor notes are present as well as a little chocolate. Also, the body is hefty but so far the Triple Shot line does not seem to be more impressive than the (presumably) lower abv Double Shot offerings.

I don’t find the look as flat as others have said. Nose is classic TH barrel blend. Palate is round and smooth milk stout (though it’s said to be an imperial stout) with long finish. While pretty expensive per oz, high (unlisted) alc puts it in line with other TH stouts, though too alcoholic for regular drinking. Coffee gives it a bit more bitter than, say, Impermanence, but still lovely. I really like this beer! It works before dinner or after.

Decent head production; poor retention.
Aroma is rich and wonderful, prominently featuring bourbon, vanilla, and coffee. Additional notes of caramel, toffee, chocolate, and molasses.
As impressive as the nose is, this beer immediately delivers on the palate. Bourbon and vanilla are a wonderful marriage up front, leading quickly into a strong coffee note. Additional notes of toffee, honeycomb, molasses, chocolate, and cherry.
Thick and chewy beer.
Overall, an absolutely lovely and decadent entry in Tree House's Single/Double/Triple/Quadruple Shot series.
