Tree House Brewing Co. "Little Fern"
1 pint can coded "FAVORITE FERN? 04.28.26". Sampled on 05.25.26
$18.80 / 4-pk at the brewery in Charleton, MA
Notes via stream of consciousness: Wow, it's surprisingly light in color with a kind of yellow-milk appearance beneath a short head of white foam. It's quite resinous in the aroma backed by light fruit. The taste flip-flops that with lots of fruitiness backed by resins. I'm getting notes of apple, lime, white grape, peach... gooseberry... grapefruit... tangerine... and herbs and pine. It's not that bitter, nor is it particularly sweet, and it finishes dry with some fruit and resins gently lingering. In the mouth it's light-medium in body and gently crisp but then smooth once warmed. The head didn't hold up as well as I thought it would but the lacing is very good. I'm impressed with this one. I've never tasted a beer quite like it, and it's surprisingly drinkable while still remaining intense.

Picked up a four pack of cans at Tree House Brewery in Sandwich, Massachusetts for about eighteen dollars. My three hundred and seventy fifth brew from these guys. Nice, lower ABV brew, however, dinging for price point, above Julius & Green.

Tree House Little Fern is the latest addition to the excellent Fern series. I wanted to try lower abv offerings this trip and Little Fern clocks in at 5.2% New Zealand style pale ale. Pours a golden yellow murk with a sturdy cottony head that reduced sticky tree rings down the glass. Aroma is lemon lime. Taste is lemon lime, peaches, Delic middle end with white grape, oofah! Mild grapefruit bitter left in your mouth. Creamy, light, zesty refreshing on this warm sunny summer Sunday afternoon on the deck. Extremely flavorful pale ale. Home run!

Taste - same as the smell but a lil earthy, slight juicy
Feel - medium body creamy light carb
Overall - nice!

On tap in Sandwich.
Presents milky yellow with a half-inch head of white. Tropical citrus in the nose. Mango, orange, pineapple. Medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel. Juicy on the palate with minimal malt or bitterness. Peach, pineapple, mango. Finishes drier than the bigger ferns.
