In the hiking world, a cairn is often a trail marker along the path, or an indicator of a summit; they guide trampers on the trails to the top of a mountain. Here at Tree House we believe it is not always about the destination, but the journey itself. This series showcases localized malts throughout the Northeast, and each iteration is single hopped with a different American hop. Cairn Series – Mount Marcy utilizes pilsner from Hudson Valley Malt, and Cascade hops from the Pacific Northwest. Pouring a bright golden color, we find beautifully balanced notes of biscuit, cracker, honey, lemon citrus, and green tea. It is lightly bodied, smooth, and crisp with a light mineral presence. This beer is very delicate and highly drinkable. A perfect beer for you to savor atop Mount Marcy’s 5,344 ft Adirondack summit, enjoy your time wandering all the trails that lie ahead.

Pours a clear gold color. Nice all-white cap.
Smells like green tea, lemon, hay, and doughy malts.
Flavor follows the nose. Lemon and green leaf tea, doughy malts, honey, and light hop bitterness.
Medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth and dry.
Overall this is a pretty good American lager. Well-balanced and easy to drink.

This one pours a slightly hazy but mostly clear golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells almost tea-like, with citrus, grassiness, biscuit, and cracker.
There’s a tea-like floral hop character that I really enjoy on this one. It’s lightly sweet, slightly floral and bitter, and really tasty overall. I get a touch of lemony hops and a nice biscuity and crackery malt character that never gets too sweet.
This is crisp and very clean, with a very nice drinkability.
I enjoy the vibe and execution on this series for sure.
